How are you counting them?

Human beings have 23 pairs of chromosomes
I do. But not all humans do.

It takes 23 seconds for blood to circulate through the human body.
Julius Caesar was stabbed 23 times when he was assassinated.
I'm almost sure this is untrue.

According to biorhythm theory, everyone has a 23-day physical cycle
And according to Oversoul's Theory of Awesome (which has exactly as much credibility as biorhythm theory), there are exactly 23 greats in one awesome.

The world's fastest human can average 23 miles/hour in the 100 meter dash
I calculated it at closer to 22.896 miles/hour.

23 degrees Celsius is "room temperature" on Earth.
For scientific purposes, room temperature is usually either 20 degrees or 300 K, which is 26.85 degrees. I've sometimes seen 25 degrees referred to as room temperature as well. But that's still not 23.

Asteroid researchers measuring the rotation periods of asteroids reported that none were found with periods of less than 2.3 hours. A rotation period of less than 2.3 hours would cause them to be torn apart.
Seems like it would vary somewhat...

That's got to be about 23% of his list that you tried to discredit. Amazing :D

Amazingly, this is one of only 23 (it's documented) "urban legends" that snopes.com hasn't covered.

And don't forget that the number 17 is basically the same as the number 23, since the digits in 17 add up to 8, which is 2^3.

Still not 23.......

I get bored too...... :D Very Bored.....

Major collisions can completely disrupt smaller asteroids. The debris from such collisions makes still smaller asteroids, which can have virtually any shape or spin rate. Thus, the fact that no rotational periods shorter than about 2.5 hours have been observed implies that the material of which asteroids are made is not strong enough to withstand the centripetal forces that such rapid spins would produce.

Still not 2.3......
