Handy deck

Long, long ago, in a house far far away,(in canada) I had an idea for a neat deck that made your hand huge with spellbook then dropped a empyrical plate. I wrote down a deck using this combo and only now found it again as I was cleaning the landfill I call my room. Apparently I had no sense of how to make this kind of deck back then(having not signed up at CPA yet{really, I've learned a lot from you guys}) so now I'm taking a stab at making it playable.

Heres the original version:

Handy deck
land
11 island
11 plains
22 land

creatures
4 auriok glavemaster
1 loxodon punisher
3 myr adapter
3 taj nar swordsmith
3 neurok familiar(im not fully sure, i can't read my writing{no one can})
3 scornful egotist
17 creatures

other
2 rush of knowlege
4 spellbook
2 empyrical plate
3 vulshok morningstar
2 loxodon warhammer
1 sun droplet
3 neurok hoversails
2 thirst for knowledge
1 reshape
1 inspiration
21 other

I think my choices were based on my collection and cost back then, but the stuff I put in was still wacky.

heres my jab at rejuvenation:

land
6 plains
6 island
4 seat of the synod
4 ancient den
20 land

creatures
2 loxodon punisher(slower, big equip bonus)
3 auriok glaivemaster(quick, equip bonus)
3 skyhunter cub(good bonus)
4 leonin den guard(isty told me to)
12 creatures

other
3 spellbook
4 empyrical plate
4 thoughtcast
4 fabricate
4 thirst for knowledge
2 lightning greaves
1 scythe of the wretched
2 bonesplitter
3 steelshapers gift
1 leonin bola
28 other

60 cards

Thats the main gist of it. these are the things I want suggestions on.
1. I want this deck heavy on creatures and equipment, but I still want the tutors for making the combo. Should I go heavy on tutors, or keep lotsa creatures and equipment?
2. what would be the best equipment for this deck?

Any suggestions would be good, and I have a pet peeve about keeping my stuff T2, so keep that in mind please. Ill keep editing the decklist as replys come in.

Well,

The egotist and rush will be rotating out of T2 soon so they aren't really an option.

Fabricate is an artifact tutor for T2....you seem to have enough artifacts to support it.

This deck would probably shine better in a T1 format though

R Mystical tutor...optional
R Enlightened Tutor
3 Fabricate
4 AEther Spellbomb
4 Accumulated Knowledge
4 Thirst for Knowledge

Artifacts
2 Spellbook.....(dead card if you already have one)
3 Empyrial Plate
2 Empyrial Armor......(Plate's white counter-part)
3 Isochron Scepter
1 Eater of Days...(might be fun with Scepter/Chant)

Creatures
4 Auriok Champion
4 Leonin Skyhunter

Spells
4 Orim's Chant.......(buys time)

20 Lands

T2 Deck

Cut the Swordsmiths as they are too expensive to play and use and add Steelshapers gift instead. Also, using either of the two (but preferably the gifts) you can play one-of:s of cool and/or more specialized equipments. For instance, you could play one Leonin bola to fetch against decks with single big creatures like Darksteel Colossus.

i like f-6's idea w/ the one offs, thats sorta what i had in mind w/ the scythe.
I really want to know if i should go heavy on creatures or equipment instead of tutors, or should i go w/ lots of tutors and a few creaures?

A good mix is probably the best. About 14 good creatures to equip, about 10 good equipment that you want to draw as many as possible like Bonesplitter and the Plates, 2-4 special equipment, 4 Steelshapers gift, some removal/control/stall like Wing shards, Pulse of the fields or even wrath of god and 20-24 lands.

Wraths are not so bad for this deck as you tend to have fewer but bigger creatures then your opponent and with the equipment still on the field, your new creatures will be big fast.

Playing like that however you want your cards on the board, making the Plates less good.

Well, Tabasco, since we are talkning a little about your deck anyway; Drop the spellbooks for +1 Bonesplitter, +1 Empyrial plate and 1 Loxodon warhemmer and swap the champions for Glavemasters. I think that would make the deck a lot better.

Why the Champs.....lets see

WW for a 1/1, pro red and black, gain 1 life whenever another creature cip......I think that is better than

1W for a 1/1, Tap gets +X/+X = power....think about it.....

without equipment the champion is the champion here.......slap a bonesplitter on him vs. gobos right now and he is a housewrecker.

........as for the equipment changes, I Definitely agree.

Champion + L. Warhammer = lifegaining machine.

No, no, not bladewardens, glavemasters (or correctly spelled: Glaivemaster):
Auriok Glaivemaster
W
As long as Auriok Glaivemaster is equipped, it gets +1/+1 and has first strike.

A second turn 4/2 first striker doesn't sound too bad, eh? :D

But I agree, the champs are good against goblins though. Meta game call, I guess.

True, but it is also a bit more fragile. Kill the creature nad the Armor goes while the plate stays. With the armor I would say that the Champs are a lot better as they are harder to kill. The proper soltari guys and perhaps knights are good there as well.
