alright, i have decided to build a completely artifact deck, well not completely i do need lands don't i, anyway here is the deck list
artifact creatures
4 Karn silver golem
2 voltaic key
2 copper gnomes
2 bottle gnomes
2 jhoira's toolbox
4 ornithopters
4 phyrexian walkers
2 beast of burden
2 masticore
artifacts
4 chimeric staff
4 thran dynamo
2 mishra's helix
1 seashell cameo
1 tigereye cameo
1 drake-skull cameo
2 metalworker
3 thran foundry
2 library of leng
land
4 urza's power plant
4 urza's mine
4 urza's tower
2 tolarian academy
2 mishra's factory
okay basis of the deck, get out early defense, then once the mana starts flowin', and it will flow, get out some artifacts, karn and then proceed to beatdown my opponent, oh and in my play circle we have a code of honor, nobody will be using shatterstorm against this deck

Explain to me the Cameos? You have no real need for colored mana at all (as a matter of fact, the ONLY colored mana on ANY of the cards in your deck are in the text of Tolarian Academy!), and the Cameos basically become very very expensive mana sources. Pull those, unless you have a reason to have them in there...

That frees five deck slots to put in more cards. Past that, I have to say I am generally unimpressed by Sparing Golem. :) He's cute, but he never seems to wreck house very well. I'd put in something else for those as well.

Possible cards to put in are:

Voltaic Key, the quintessensial artifact deck card
Worn Powerstone, the Cameo for artifacts
Dragon Mask, give those 'Thopters a chance!
Jayemdae Tome, wonderful with a later game mana supply
Phyrexian Collosus, the ultimate beating stick
Phyrexian Processor, the army generator

the cameos are simply in there because with karn they become 3/3 creatures for 3, the sparring golems are going out, voltaic key will probably take its place, i wasn't very convinced when i put them in, but hey thats what this forum is for

Get potentially insane amounts of mana with Metalworker.
Does Coat of Arms work with Artifact Creatures? :D
I've always been partial to Crooked Scales, if creature removal is ever a problem.

A Shatterstorm, Purify, or Meltdown can really ruin your day :( Even though it is against the entire purpose of the deck, Hanna's Custody and/or Fountain Watch would help.

i like the metalworker idea i can see replacing two thran dynamo with two metal workers

Lose the Cameos and put in Thran Dynamos. They're still mana acceleration, and they become 4/4 for 4, instead of 3/3 for 3. This puts them out of Bolt/Incinerate range.

If so, Voltaic Key, Grim Monolith, Phyrexian Colossus, Metalworker, and Rocket Launcher.

You might want to consider some more defensive cards also.To go with Mishras Helix, Null Brooch, Icy, Winter Orb, Ring of Gix, You know, those types of things.

i've never liked doing combos, it seems so i don't know its just not me. you have all given me really good ideas, in case you haven't noticed, whenever you gave me an idea i liked i edited the deck list to fit it in, so up top is my deck list as it stands, and excuse the voltaic key i know its not an artifact creature, i just didn't feel like moving it :D
