Goblin King/Lingering Mirage

Ok, Here is the Moggcatcher version. This doen't look very likely. This needs a lot more help then the Blue Seahunter version.
I couldn't find a card that would turn an opponents land into a Mountain, so I guess there isn't one. I used Eye of Ramos Instead of Sky Diamond because it doesn't come into play tapped, also helps out with the element of suprise (to cast Lingering Mirage).
Of course these decks are for fun only, but loosing all the time isn't fun. So can You help Me out?

4 Moggcatcher
3 Goblin Cadets
4 Goblin Matron
3 Goblin Patrol
4 Goblin Lackey
1 Goblin Marshal
4 Goblin King

4 Shock
2 Reckless Abandon
2 Arc Lightning

4 Eye of Ramos
4 Lingering Mirage

17 Mountain
4 Ghitu Encampment

Sideboard:
2 Fault Line
2 Disorder
2 Scald
3 Thran Foundry
2 Cursed Totem
2 Pillage
2 Pulverize

another cool deck idea. A few problems Lingering mirage only changes lands to islands. Here are a couple of solutions. Use Political Trickery(one of my favorite cards) and trade your mountain for their Kor Haven. Or you can use Blood Moon and not worry about blue and just hope the play with non-basic lands. Keep them coming

Phantasmal Terrain requires 2 Blue mana and you only have 4 sources in the deck.

Doesn't Mystic Compass or something from Ice Age/Alliances change lands into whatever you want? Or Jinx? I'm pressed for time so if you don't find it over the weekend I'll see if I can look it up.

Go with the Political Trickery. Most decks maindeck methods to destroy enchantments and artifacts. Destroying nonbasic land is rarely seen outside of dedicated LD decks. Besides, the Political Trickery is 2U in contrast to P-Terrain's UU.

Jinx is alright, but it changes land type for only one turn, so its not as useful. I think Mystic Compass is a temporary change, as well, but am not sure.

OR you can run multiple Magical Hacks, and just hack your Goblin Kings to provide whatever-walk is necessary.

OR if you increase your blue mana count, you could play Illusionary Terrain from either IE or Mirage... and change ALL lands of one type into another type. That way you mana-screw your opponent quite heartily! ;)

Just a few thoughts.

Yes, Mystic Compass changes a land into any type of basic land, and it's in 6th edition!

Also, I think maybe you should use Goblin Recruiters.

You were burning up. Elves have got to be one of the most popular. Looking forward to your post.

I have my own version of this sort of deck:

4 Goblin King
4 Moggcatcher
4 Goblin Marshal
4 Goblin Lackey
2 Shrieking Mogg
3 Goblin Cadets
4 Raging Goblin
3 Goblin Patrol

4 Reckless Abandon
4 Seal of Fire
4 Shock

20 Mountains

I can't emphasize just how important it is for first turn drops with this sort of deck. They'll never catch up if you get a turn 2 Marshall. If not, then hold them off with the stupid Moggcatcher/Shrieking Mogg thing (I love that!) A more controllish version is also very fun:

4 Marshalls
4 Squee
4 Kings
4 Lackeys
3 Arms Dealers
4 Moggcatchers
1 Shrieking

4 Credit Voucher

4 Seals
4 Shocks
2 Hammers

4 Ghitus
18 Mountains

It's not that controllish, but it's silly and fun, so I use it a lot :)

what attracted me to that thread was the Lingerie Mirage ..

I was like hooo maybe we have something interesting here .. especially if it comes from Griffith_se ...

However I quickly realised that the Lingerie was really a mirage .. as it never was the subject of the thread .. much to my dismay.

LINGERING was the word

Am I too obsessed or what ... must be my french blood ...

:)
