Right now, he's 2'nd place (after 12 rounds), with 3 feature matches (going 2-1 in them), and they followed his draft. (btw, this is all at http://www.sideboard.com , under European Championships.) Go John!!
Of course you realize that our friend John`O has fooled everyone with a clever ruse. He is planning on taking Worlds with his latest metagame-breaking Deck of Destruction and Power! (Remember Trinity?)
I particularly enjoyed beating down the UW Story Circle
mages with my Blind Seers.
Also drafting my 5 colour decks.
The Canadian guy Dave who finished second really did
just turn up out of the blue, and given that
he didn't know anybody ended up sleeping on a park bench
the night before.
One of the great things about this game is that anyone
with some skill and some practice with a run of luck
can end up playing with the best in the world in
a few weeks.
(and making more money from Magic than his normal Studenting)
