Want to get paid to play games this summer? Well, if you are over 18 then Nintendo wants you! Nintendo has announced that they will begin taking applications for their summer job offerings starting May 13 at their Nintendo Street Team website.

"One of the leading past-times for individuals of all ages -- playing video games -- is sure to be the best summer job ever," says Peter MacDougall, Nintendo executive vice president, sales and marketing. "The Nintendo Street Team provides a fun and challenging employment opportunity for young adults who are usually limited in their job choices and lets them explore a career in the booming video game industry."

One of my friends found this, and the discussion seems to make it sound as a less-than-dream job. You have to have a "good appearance", which eliminates quite a few people who would be interested . It's all-day on Fri-Sat-Sun, although that's not a huge issue. You have to basically wear GameCubes and GBA's and have people play off of you, which is rather odd.

One of my friends suggested this at a message board instead of taking the job...

If anyone actually TAKES this job, we should go and mock them. Publically.

I'd suggest doing something similar with the XBox, but we'd need some sort of truck to carry it.

And Seattle isn't always that bad, the "rainy season" only lasts from September to June.
