I'm also from Macon. maraud324, where do you play around here? Aside from homes, I usually head to Outer Limit Comics in Centerville.

maraud234 (I got the name right this time:)), I might have met you before. I'm tall and skinny, with shaggy reddish hair and a beard...my name's Jonathan...if any of that sounds familiar. Is it Wednesday nights that you usually play at BAM? If it's open to anyone, I'd like to come join you sometime.

And yeah, Outer Limit Comics is near the Galleria. Just beyond it, if you're coming from 75, in a shopping center with a Domino's and Subway and some tanning place. There're good people there, and there's usually a draft or two on Sundays.

I forget...does Atlantians have accents? I lived in Houston for 6 years and since it's a "CITY" few people had true "southern accents"...is this true for Atlanta??
Do you say "Ya'll", "Fixin", "Soda" ??

Just Curious.

Some of us does have accents. But, I didn't know that soda was a southern word. If you drive out about 70 minutes from atlanta, and go to some counties, like Smetter, GA (everythings better in Smetter! (I'm not making that slogan up, it's their county motto)), everyone speaks in heavy southern accents.

I've never heard "soda" or "pop" excerpt from weirdos from North Dakota. In the south, all carbonated beverages are "cokes".

Actually, now that you remind me, Atlanta is the land of coke. Oh, and Coca-Cola, too. ;)

I think that the way it goes is people from the midwest say pop, and people from the northeast(like me) say soda.
You even call a Sprite a coke? you southerners are weird.

P.S. Why are you a Mariners fan?

I live in Georgia, but I haven't lived here my whole life. I was born in California, moved to Michigan, moved to Maryland, moved to Arizona, moved to Texas, and then moved to Georgia.

Over this time, I never got into having hometown pride and being thrilled when my city's team wins something. So, I just started liking the Mariners because they had my favorite players. Even though some of them are gone, they still have Buhner and Martinez, to name a couple.

P.S. I don't have an accent. Everyone else does here and it's racking my brains when I hear "Y'all".

Same here Ransac, I was raised in Pennsylvania, but moved down here 2 years ago. I don't really have an accent either, I don't have any accent at all, mainly because I've lived in so many places.

maraud234, you didn't answer my question. Does that mean you don't want me to play?

Oh, I'm sorry, I thought it was already a given that I would play. I'd love to play, since I've moved down here its been hard finding other players. I just have to find the place, but you've already told me where it is. We that play at BAM don't really have a scheduled meeting time, we usually just call each other up to go play.
