Once again, I am posting a deck geared towards chaos games.
Considering the rather long post/rant I left in the CPA Magic Issues Forum ("On Party Cards and Player Interaction"), I feel compelled to post a deck reflecting my comments. Everyone gets to play stuff, but you benefit the most from it.
Its a party!
4x Hunted Wumpus
4x Lumbering Satyr
4x Stampeding Wildebeest
4x Spore Frog
4x Veteran Explorer
2x Spike Weaver
4x Invigorate
4x The Tempest block Fog with buyback
3x Creeping Mold
2x Tranquility
2x Gaea's Blessing
4x Mystic Compass
2x Zuran Orb
16x Forest
4x Treetop Village
The strategy is simple enough. Nothing costs more than 4 to cast. Using the Wildebeests upkeep cost, you can get people to play scads of creatures by bouncing the Wumpus to your hand to play again. The Satyr guarantees combat against green mages, initially, but quickly spreads to other players once you start using the Mystic Compass.
The Fog-type cards keep you alive longer (an inevitable target, what with big creatures and forests and all). The Treetop Villages assure you some aggression when a creature-sweeper is played. The Tranquilities and Creeping Mold get rid of the stalling enchantments and artifacts that hold up a good game. There are even a few ways to get rid of your forests, should you feel the need too.
I considered adding Deadfall(s) (from Legends -- enchantment, 2G, you can block creatures with forestwalk), but I don't own any. Besides, that removes a lot of the fun.
Happy gaming!
