Full Mirrodin Spoiler on Mtgnews...

I'm surprised this hasn't come up since the full spoiler is now *gasp* five days old. Since Mindslaver was a rather unbelievable card, at least mechanically, and it was in the spoiler before Maro revealed it, I say this spoiler's gotta be legit, especially since it "feels" like WOTC.

Anyway, the link is: http://www.mtgnews.com/tracing/mirrodin/

To push further, what's your opinion of set? Me, I'm on the fence, but I think it's very creative for the most part.

I'm looking forward to it. I usually don't read spoilers as it's just too much for me to digest and I can usually read the cards at the pre-release.

i honestly think the set will bring all new restrictions to type 1 and 1.5...

as for it's playability - equip and imprint seem to be the strongest aspects I'd play with.... especially imprint...

The affinity is much more of a blue thing to say - here - look blue has speed...

Works for every color if you ask me.

I am more prominent in T1 though...

Affinity based in blue is pretty scary...especially that card drawing thing...

The set looks good and fun, though. The equipment should be fun for about, oh...FOREVER. Even if it is a block only thing (which it likely will not be) the equipment found here will serve us for a long time to come. Lots of good long-term stuff in here, unlike other stuff.

I mean, you can build a tribal deck, or a prismatic deck, or a madness deck, but those come and go. In five more years, will anybody remember the utility of Call of the Herd? Maybe it will be a classic. Same for all these situational things.

My say: This set is good for the long haul, like a base set, but with much more spice! :D

Well, from what I've seen they've given special attention to most of the colours except for maybe black and white. They might be bringing balance back to the game...

"...of course, Anakin Skywaler was supposed to bring balance to The Force and we all saw how that turned out..."

balanced the princess .... HA!

Anyway, I like the set too, there's lots of stuff I want use in casual/multiplayer.

Some of the equipment is really good. However, there was concern that some of it might break the color wheel, and in a few cases I think it actually does, despite what WOTC said.

Most especially:

Lightning Greaves - 2
Equip: 0
Equipped creature has haste and can't be the target of spells or abilities.

So basically, all your creatures have haste, and you can pass around untargetability. For two mana. Total. It's the equiup cost of zero that breaks it. It should have an equip cost of 1 or 2, and that would balance it just fine. But zero? Thank god it only works at the speed of sorcery! It's just a bit to cheap for a blue or white deck to be able to haste things over so easily, and with untargetability to boot! I keep telling people that THIS is the best of the equipments, but they don't believe me!
