He works in Magic and has the opportunity to make a card commemorating his kids' birth. No less than Garfield making a card to propose to his wife or the World Champions getting a card of their own. <shrug>

I don't have a problem with any cards... that have been personally made...

But I would see Garfield - the creator of the game - doing it more than anyone else...

I kind of agree with Rooser. That was Garfield's thing, he's the creator of the game, he can do it. Rosewater is kinda ripping him off, and taking away from what Garfield did for his wife.

I just think only Richard has the right to do that, and it's pretty arrogant of Rosewater to put himself in that place.

Well... I think the rights of who can do it are up to WoTC technically... but as a Magic player - it's like us creating our "own" cards...

Mark just has the capability to put it on the internet, and have a ruling just for it...

But like I said - I see Richard doing it more than others, so I'm really objective...

Garfield also did it for each of his children...;)

I don't have a problem with it myself. Its not like WotC is actually going to spend money for him printing this split card, he just turned it out with whatever digital editor he had at his disposal.

MaRo does have some ego, but I feel his wanting to celebrate and share the birth of his twins with a community is a natural desire. Its no different than a father handing out cigars to everyone in a maternity ward.

Personally, I think Mark has been around pretty much since the beginning, even if he wasn't part of the original playtest team, and "has the right" to do it if he wants. Obviously WOTC doesn't have a problem with it, why should we?

Everyone: It's just a photoshopping. Really. They did the same for Morphling by turning it into squirrels a while back.

Only Garfield has printed his own three cards.
