Well, we're half-way through the Football season (American, that is) and I'm curious to know who everyone's fav team is and how you think they're doing.

My team is the Tampa Bay Bucs - seeing as they only play about twenty miles from my house. They've had a good first half despite being in perhaps the toughest division in the NFC. Their offense seems to have a problem scoring, but their defense keep the oposition from scoring more (well, unless you consider Philadelphia - but, we won't go into that...:)).

Anyhoo, what does everyone think?

My Broncos are doing pretty well. Griese has been playing real well over the last few games. We've got a good shot this year! Go Broncos!

I have been quite impressed w/ the Broncs this year. I was worried that it would be a while before they recovered from Elway leaving...

They've had 4 or 5 years to recover. They're fine now and they're going to kick butt. Super Bowl baby!

Well, that has yet to be seen. The AFC is pretty tough this year, even w/ the reorganizing of the divisions...

My favorite team is the Browns, with the Bucs a close second. My Brownies are 4-4, and they could honestly be 2-6 or 7-1. It's been that kinda season--every game is a thriller, usually too thrilling. If we could put together complete games, we'd be amazing, but too often we sit on our hands in the first half before turning it on in the second. If we beat the Steelers this weekend, we've got definitely playoff possibilities.

And the Bucs, of course, have been very impressive. I think they've got a shot at winning it all.

I've always liked Cleveland - except for when the team mysteriously disappears in the night to be sent to a town that had their team mysteriously disappear in the night. :) They're a good team that has a seriously devoted fanbase that rivals only the Packers in extreme loyalty...they're doing well enough and the rest of their schedule might allow them a playoff appearance.

I'm partial to the Redskins, but they've just been so bad these past 4-5 years... it's actually pretty funny when you look back on Snyder's reign and how he keeps switching coaches and how players are not living up to their potential or playing well.

And then I can't help but read about the Ravens since they're in my hometown, but it's more of a "eh".

I'd say the Germans will win it without even showing up...*

*Reference to a temporary sideboard.com goof which listed Kai Budde as being in second place at a grand prix he didn't even attend.

Well I am a Raiders fan. Yes I say it with pain(maybe not as much as a brown's fan). Hopefully the season won't continue like it has win 4 lose 4 win4 lose 4 end up 8-8 watching the playoffs from the sidelines.

Honestly - I'm a Bledsoe fan - He's the man, that's it...

So I followed the Patriots, but now follow the Bills - go Bills!!!

Before Bledsoe - it was Montana, so Niners and Chiefs of course... Though I can say - if The NYG had not injured Montana - He would have been the first player to lead a team to 3 consecutive Superbowl wins!!!!

As for following hot players - I actually own all cards for Bledsoe and montana from rookie through current. I just find it hard to follow teams sometimes - players make the game, or break it...

Train - I guess that Sunday's game was a bit of a heart-breaker for you. I like both Bledsoe and Brady, so I was just hoping it would be a good game...

Spidey - I've been watching the Redskins a lot lately - I've not been a fan of them since Dougie Houser, billionaire bought them. He tried to build the New York Yankees of football, but found out that you need a good coach to win games - now, they have a great coach in Steve Spirrier. Being a UF alumnist I've always liked him...

rkoelsch - I almost feel sorry for the Raiders - I mean, not having a coach these days or anything :)

Ferret - Thanks!!! it kind of was - but I'm used to the Defense not playing the best... And Bledsoe has good receivers, but they try to hard to run before catching the ball, just catch the ball, and fall... that's how you move the sticks!!!

Anyhow - For the NFC - Green Bay and Tampa Bay in the Championship - Thank goodness TB got rid of the Buccaneer portrait...

AFC - Bills(I hope) and Chiefs or Broncos... but whomever the Bills will win...

Ferret: I think they had a good coach with Marty; look what he's done with his current team. It's more the players and like I said, their inability to mesh together and make plays.

Probably the first problem right off the bat is that they really don't have a decent quarterback... :)

I'm not a football fan, or even a sports fan in general, but I live near Philadelphia and hear a lot about the Eagles.

Let's not talk about the Eagles, okay Bob ? :)

Train I am glad they got rid of the ****Pirate and the incredibly sad colours. Ever since we got new colours, the team has truly improved. I could honestly see the Bucs and the Packers meeting in the Championship - unfortunately, I don't know if they Bucs could beat them...although, it's always fun to watch Sapp sack Brett Favre :D

Spidey Yes, Marty's doing okay - and he's giving lots of work to his relatives - kinda' like the Bobby Bowden of the NFL...

rkoelsch Ummm...naw. Chucky's doing well enough on his own...

Not sure what you mean by "work to his relatives" comment... he did the same when he was with the 'Skins and they didn't do all that well (well, came back strong the second half of the season) so it's gotta be the players...

"What would it take to make Coat the official powder of the TB Bucs???..." ;)
