Someone just pointed this out to me recently.. but

Ever notice that the foil uncommons and rares in invasion don't have a rarity symbol?

I only got 1 foil invasion card (cauldron dance) and it's uncommon, but it has the black expansion symbol.


No reason, just thought i;d let you know

I don't know, I don't have any Invasion cards, but I think there's something wrong, and since you only have/seen one, I think you got yourself a misprint or something...Otherwise, I don't know.

By the way, has anyone seen a gold, foil card?

My Foil Blind Seer has the Gold Invasion symbol. Maybe you have a misprint? :)

All the foils are like that. Uncommon foils have a black expansion symbol, just like common foils. After getting two boxes, I've found that it's not a misprint, it's a rule.

Guys,

Take a closer look. I have several foil uncommons and they all have a "silver" expansion symbol. Okay, so it looks more dark gray than silver, but there is a difference between these and the commons, you just have to look really carefully.

My foil Tsabo's Web, Bind and Reya Dawnbringer have gold symbols.

Hmm... Maybe only a few of the uncommon foil cards have black symbols... If they're misprints, they're worth more, aren't they?

What boxes???

Actually, I had already gotten one box because I couldn't stand the wait any longer. And yes, I was very surprised that the boxes came yesterday. I guess WotC and UPS can be very speedy, even on a holiday.

I also got a few extra foils thrown in. Most of the usual judging foils, etc. Anyone know what a foil Vampiric Tutor goes for?

My foil Hanna has a gold expansion symbol. Also, about the gold + foil, it looks really neat. It can be any of the 5 colors, depending how you look at it. I think people (I.E. Josh) especially like the *purple*.

His friend went overboard, but not as much as you might think.

The Ports and Cradles would have almost been a fair trade. Foil Vampiric Tutors are going for about $50-$60.

One auction currently on ebay is at $196.00

Starcity sells them for $400.00

Newwave sells them for $275.00

Under those prices, you're friend traded (going by starcity's prices)

for

Not too bad considering these will probably drop in price considerably...

...some people are just stupid like that.

I would never pay $400 for a Magic card, much less a foil version of an in-print card.
