Okay, this has nothing to do with Magic, but I wanted to share this with the people here. Image sitting down to a feature match in a Pro Tour (in this case, Pro Circuit) and finding a tablet PC sitting on the table...
That's exactly what we did in Amsterdam for the 3rd Vs System Pro Circuit. The idea was a joint effort between myself and one of the coverage guys, but the programming was all mine.
As players track their own endurance totals, it is networked to the display screens so that spectators can see not only who's playing, but the current state of the game.
Gary Wise did an article (actually a blog entry) on it here . You have to scroll down just over half way. That's a really bad picture of me with Gary Wise. The endurance totals are probably accurate as if he and I had played a game
