Extended Sleight deck

Since I am going to the card shop on a regular basis, I thought I put together another deck. I have a counter-rebel that I play in the tournament, I have my new t2 deck I am experimenting with. So I thought I would put together an extended deck for fun play.

So far do practice draws I need to drop some land. I need some more disenchant effects also.

Is Ice Age not legal in Extended?

Not any comments about your deck, but I built a fun Sleight deck with Karmas... :)

is your question why aren't there any sleights? It is usually easier to use the cantrips and whim that way I don't have to remember what color I changed a card. The whims have buyback and work okay. I should see if I have a BB Karma I think I do.

I think I meant I had a HACK deck when I used Karma... that's the one that changed land type, right? I wasn't recommended you throw it in here though, even if it DID work with color; it's the kind of thing you need to build around, since it's not a creature like your deck and you probably need to "stall" or control until you get a Karma.

Anyhoo, looking at your deck, yeah, that was kinda my question, about the Sleights. But I can see why you're not really using them; all of your creatures have some type of Protection from something. I guess the only thing I would say is take out the Humbles/Winnow/Exile and put in Swords for removal or the buyback Disenchant since you said you're having problems there. Heck, and why not Thawing Glaciers and the U/W Ice Age pain land while we're at it :)

and the Karma would be okay because both the whims and the sprays will change either color or land type. I am going to keep the winnow but replace the humbles and exile. I don't remember a buyback disenchant I will have to look for it. My Adarkar wastes are in my rebel deck and unfortunately I don't have any Thawing Glaciers. Thanks for the comments

I think the buyback disenchant is Allay from Tempest.

I didn't know what the Sprays did off the top of my head; I guess you have more Sleight stuff then :)

Some other thoughts...

What about Mom? Or did you just want inherent Pro abilities?

Since you have and will add some buyback spells, is mana important to you? Should you add a Diamond or Fellwar Stone or something 2cc or less to help get that mana out there?

Is Land Tax legal? It was in 4th but I can't remember if it was banned for Extended...

I think I should add a Mom or 3 she is the best. I can take the deathspeaker out and find a few more slots. I don't think I will add allay it only affects enchantments and it is artifacts that give me a hard time. I could put in Aura Fracture. So far the deck plays out pretty well. I wish land tax was legal but it isn't.

You didn't specifically say it was ARTIFACTS giving you the problems... :)

I'm rushed for time so I'll look up Aura Fracture later, all else I can think of is the 3cc white instant where you can choose to disenchant either an enchantment or artifact. Not sure if that will help... I was going to suggest Aura of Silence too but since that only affects enchantments (I think) I guess that won't help either.

Too bad you can't use Dust to Dust :p
