Extended in Magic Online

Well, interesting... I was looking at my collection online yesterday and I noticed that there was a checkbox to look at cards prior to Invasion block. I clicked it and chose to look at cards that I have 0 of (a nice trick if you weren't aware of it previously).

I was amazed. Not only was just about every card ever printed in the system (I didn't see Starter or Unglued and I don't know enough about the sets to confirm every card) there, but a good number of them (far more than I would have expected) were programmed. You can tell because the cards that are not programmed will have their name in red text.

So, it looks as if they are planning on programming everything they can. I'm sure Chaos Orb will not be programmed, for example, but that's still a rather interesting twist.

Perhaps this means that they will allow testers to keep their cards once the test period is over... That would be nice.

It would be wonderful if we get to keep our cards. A nice payment for all our hard...uhm, "work." ;)

I noticed that, too. Also, if you check your deck stats, you can find out what format decks are legal in. Extended and "Unlimited" are among those listed, though "Unlimited" does not say what sets are legal.

Does anyone know when the game will go public? I know it's "2002", but that doesn't help me very much. :p Do we have a month, at least?
Will Torment be in it?
For that matter, how will they add new sets?
If you guys don't keep your cards, I see no reason to hurry; that's the only reason I'm so frantic to get in, is so I don't get left behind.

I have a picture of Isty running after the Magic Online bus yelling "Wait, wait!" :D

They would probably add sets similiar to Apprentice; either you have to download a little add-on or the patch it to the servers or something (well, you probably still have to d/l something so your interface picks it up).

I beleive they were ariming for spring of 2002, but it might be probably somewhere around the summer.

P.S Using that trick, you can also find one of the cheating cards ;)

Interesting... Extended would be enough to get me to buy the thing. :)
