Extended-Bye-bye Dual Lands

Yup, you only have a few days until the Dual Lands rotate out of Extended.

How are you coping with the soon to be lost? I know that I'm dancing like a fiddle because, instead of collecting dual lands, I've been collecting pain lands. Now that I got 4 of each of them and that the dual lands are gone, my mana base for extended looks pretty much taken care of.

Oh well. I don't play tournaments that often and I don't build decks that follow a particular format very often so it doesn't affect me too much.

*theorgg goes off to free his lone Tundra he collected for $4 at NG: Atlanta from those darned Grab Bags. He removes it from the hard plastic cover, the clear larger flexible sleeve, the Ultra-Pro clear shield and the baggie it was in.

*theorgg will now eat a Dual Land from Revised, badly play damaged, and will then critique its taste.


Really salty, but oddly sweet. Kinda like a paper frosted Pretzel. Tastes better than Oddessey(VERY bitter), Torment(kinda dull and bitter), or Homelands(bitter-sour). I hope the taste wasn't the dirt and such... I'm getting kinda sick...

If I vomit later, I'll discribe the aftertaste for ya'll as well...

Nope, no store... just nine years or so of playing-- and I only got ONE dual land in all that time, for $4 from somone who knew it was going for $12... but it was beaten to hell and back. fuzzy and white, looked washed out... via the washing machine... et cetera. I was quite proud of it-- I hold the Duals in that special place I hold the Power Nine.

The more appropriate question is "What WAS NG: Atlanta?"

It refers to Neutral Ground: Atlanta(More specifcally around Roswell and Alpharetta). They closed up shop almost two years ago when the owner of the store caught one of the managers giving away free computer time and merchandise to friends after the shop was supposed to be closed.

The War Room is the current Atlanta Magic hot spot.

i quit extended when survival was banned and moved to the vintage formats....i won't be taking much of a blow except for when good cards are printed (like this'll ever happen agian) and bannings are necessary.

The WarRoom is indeed THE place to play, but it may interest you to know there is a new store in town.

The Magic Source is located in Douglasville, near Arbor Place Mall. Sanctioned tournaments Fri & Sat, casual play daily, great prices on singles always.
