I've always loved the card Necropotence. It occurred to me that a fun idea would be a Wellwisher Elf deck with necro. Nothing gains life like the Wellwisher, and with Necro, life=cards, and since this is a green elf deck, oceans of mana also goes with the territory. Green has enough tricks like the Joiner Adept to get 3 Black, and with Priests of Titania, Piles of mana to cast the piles of cards you're drawing with. The early version of the deck was a little brittle, and adding Impulse helped make the deck a lot more consistent. I eventually abandoned Necropotence for Yawgmoth's Bargain, which does largely the same thing for a cost of 4BB. One less black actually makes it easier to cast, since 6cc is nothing to an elf deck. The final piece of the deck was the addition of Fires of Yavimaya. With Yawgmoth's Bargain and Fires of Yavimaya, its not difficult to put my entire library into play in one turn (and win that turn for that matter)
Here's the deck:
Elves: (33)
4 Llanowar Elves
4 Wirewood Herald(to fetch Wellwishers and Priests of Titania)
4 Wellwisher (life=cards)
4 Priest of Titania(the Mana to cast 20+spells in one turn)
4 Joiner Adept(rainbow mana)
4 Seeker of Skybreak(to untap Wellishers and priests for more ridiculousness)
4 Heedless one (getting all 4 of these, along with them having haste and putting every elf in the deck into play in one turn, think about it)
2 Gempalm Strider (all elves get +2+2, and they're all in play)
1 Elvish Soultiller (just in case I need my Elves back)
1 Voice of the woods (for the sole purpose of further piling it on)
1 Taunting Elf (only need one, again piling it on)
Spells (11)
4 Yawgmoth's Bargain
2 Fires of Yavimaya
4 Impulse
1 Vitalize (just think about it)
Land (19)(as of now would be better with some others I'd imagine)
2 City of Brass (maybe forbidden orchard would work better?)
2 Salt Marsh
2 Waterveil Cavern
13 Forest
The deck runs like this. Get out the Bargain, draw a pile of cards. get elves into play popping the wellwishers as needed. With Fires of Yavimaya, time to go crazy, and put every Elf in your deck into play. Tap all the ones you have left for as many elemental tokens as you can grab, cycle any leftover gempalms(make sure you leave cards in your library for this). Cast Vitalize, untap everything, and attack with 4 Heedless ones, a bunch of 7/7 trample elementals, every elf in your deck and all of their creatures block the taunting elf.
Its a little silly, but thats the fun! It runs enough like a generic elf deck to hold its own even when the engine isn't going. I haven't tried this yet, but I would imagine this would work even better in multiplayer. Shouldn't have any trouble killing any number of players in 1 turn.
