Okay, here's my type nothing Thallid deck. Earthcraft is very powerful so it's not legal in many formats.

Creatures:
4x Verdant Force
4x Thallid
4x Thorn Thallid
3x Thallid Devourer
3x Feral Thallid
4x Spore Flower

Spells:
4x Wild Growth
4x Overgrowth
4x Fungal Bloom
4x Earthcraft
2x Natural Order

Lands:
20x Foil Forest

Let me know if you have any comment or suggestions. see if you can spot the infinite loop

Wow, something I actually know a little about... :)

Well, I don't know about newer cards though.

But just looking at the deck, I think you have too many Overgrowths and Wild Growths. In fact, seeing as this is mono-green, why not put in Llanowar Elves for the mana boost (they farm the Thallids)?

I'd also put in enchantment removal like Emerald Charm or Creeping Mold.

I'd take out 1 Feral Thallid in general, but seeing as how I would be taking out a lot of the mana booster you might not need it anyway. Maybe a Verdant Force too (unless you REALLY want a lot of fatties). And Spore Flowers were never THAT useful to me, while Thallid Devourers were.

Perhaps a Coat of Arms would help too.

So in general I'd say:

-1 Feral Thallid
-1 Verdant Force
-2 or 3 Overgrowths
-2 or 3 Wild Growths
-1 or 2 Spore Flowers

+1 Thallid Devourer
+1 or 2 Emerald Charms
+2 or so Creeping Mold
+2 or 3 Llanowar Elves

So how does this play? I mean, maybe you do need the mana boosters to get out the fatties.

I remember making a Thallid deck when Ice Age came out and throwing in Keldon Warlords, Marton Stromgald and City of Shadows!

The infinite mana combo might be too much, since you don't need the enchantments otherwise. I suggest just using Sporogenesis which will speed up Saproling production with Fungal Bloom, Thallid Devourer and a sacrificial Thallid.

And other things like Collective Unconscious and Gaea's Cradle look made for the Thallid deck.

Night Soil is somewhat slow, but it makes for good annoyance factor in mutliplayer games.

Vitalizing Wind might be fun, while Elvish Farmer is just useful. Maybe even Titania's Boon?

My thoughts.

Ahh! Thallids! I remember constructing a bizzare thalid deck, one that was fun to play. what happened to it? It began to get beaten down whenever my friend played it. Here it is, and iot's real fun:

4x Thallid (duh)
3x thallid devourer
3x Saporling cluster
2x Saporling burst
1x abundance
3x Sporogenesis
4x collective unconciousness
2x Spidersilk armor
2x earthcraft
3x Kyren negotiations
3x Goblin bombardment
2x fireball
2x mox diamond
1x thran weaponry
2x coat of arms
2x Ashnod's altar

7 mountains
11 forests
2 Gaea's cradle

there are 3 ways to win this:
once you start to drop the saporlings, you draw with the unconciousness. Then you can use the saporling burst, then the cluster. You can then either earthcraft and fireball, or kyren negotiations.
OR, thallid beatdown!

I played against that deck. it is pretty good.

it probably could you some fast mana from elves, and also there is a card called elvish farmer that is great card to use in a token deck it produces saprolings and is an elf

I remember my tidal deck!

Sitting there, my creature have wall-like assualt skills one turn, normal the next, and amazing the third.

I think the best ability was with the Homarid Warrior, but they printed Giant Crab which does the same thing without tapping the creature, right? Nothing beats Tidal Influence, but Morphling and some other things seem to have made Homarids obsolete.

Maybe they can bring new Homarids into the picture into future expansions, much like we now have new Saproling cards for no real reason.

I am legally reqiured to post something here, so here goes...

Not everything is necessarily said and done. One could consider using a deck designed to make lots of tiny creatures and then boost them, something like this...

Lands
14x Forest
3x Gaea's Cradle
3x Brushland
------------------------------
Creatures
4x Thallid
4x Stampede Driver
3x Birds of Paradise
2x Quirion Ranger
4x Elvish Farmer
3x Thallid Devourer
1x Kaysa
------------------------------
Other
4x Magnify
3x Saproling Cluster
4x Fungal Bloom
3x Night Soil
1x Spidersilk Armor
1x Overrun
3x Glorious Anthem
------------------------------
SIDEBOARD (If you want it)
3x Uktabi Orangutan
4x City of Solitude (no, it doesn't mess this deck up)
2x Spidersilk Armor
3x Calming Verse
3x Armageddon

It's not perfect, but it'll do...

And STOP TALKING ABOUT HOMARIDS!!! A gang of drunk teenage Homarids once destroyed my ice cream cart and stole the wheels! Lousy beatniks...

thanks for ur suggestions.. but it can do better than saproling burst and cluster already.

i'd much rather have 140 billion 1/1 then 18 19/19 trample's
i was thinking of splashing red for last ditch effort or goblin bombardment. or i could put in coat of arms and sword of the ages :) 1200 billion damage to your weatherseed treefolk.. oh crap its that thing. NOO
