Ok here is the scoop. I am part of a clan that has tournies every night in MTGO. Every sunday night for 6 weeks they are featuring a deck challange tourney and each week features a different color. This comming sudays's color is white. I need help. I need someone to construct me a deck. Or give me good Ideas. Here are the rules. This is an FFA event. Meaning 5-6 players, choose who you want to attack. Last man standing Multi player event. I am not a good deck builder and I really need help. So check it out. Thanks.
Each week will be a mono-colored deck challenge.
Every spell in the deck (and sideboard) must be of the chosen color only.
NO MULTI-COLORED SPELLS (Privileged Position; Izzet Guildmage)
Kickers, Entwine, and activated ability costs must match the
color of the deck or they cannot be used at all.
No colorless spells can be played in MONO colored weeks
except during ARTIFACT week - And no MONO COLORED
spells can be played during artifact week.
Split cards such as Fire/Ice or Life/Death can be used -
AS LONG AS THEY ARE MONO COLORED, (you may not use split cards
such as Crime/Punishment because of multiple colors)
and only used for the color pertaining to that week.
(Green week = You can use the split card Life/Death, playing "Life")
If you tap a mana or use an activated ability (such as Birds of Paradise)
and produce a color OTHER THAN the color of your deck,
You are automatically Disqualified.
During the color weeks - Red, Black, White, Green, & Blue -
You can only use mana of those colors - NO COLORLESS.
All land has to produce the color of your deck for that week ONLY.
(Unless a land has an activated ability of that weeks color, in which
case you could activate the ability, but can not use the land to add
colorless mana to your mana pool).
The exception to this rule is Artifact week.
ARTIFACT WEEK IS AS FOLLOWS:
The artifacts you play can be paid for using ANY and all colors.
(Colorless and colored mana)
NO ACTIVATED ABILITY can be paid for using colored mana
(Example: Walking Archive)
Activated abilities of artifacts can only be paid using COLORLESS mana.
SUNBURST IS BANNED
Sunburst is a mechanic that uses only color mana to pay it's cost
in order to bring it into play with the counters on it.
The only AFFINITY allowed is "Affinity for Artifacts"
Affinity for "Swamp/Plains/Forest" etc is NOT allowed.
Regarding Mana/Land Usage.
You may use mana or land that produces ONLY the color of your deck.
Example: Cabal Coffers produces black mana, and therefore is allowed.
DUAL RARE LANDS from Ravnica, Guildpact, and Dissension
These lands are allowed as long as you tap the land
for the color of your deck. (i.e; Overgrown Tomb may be used
to tap for green in Green week and tapped for black in Black week)
BOUNCE LANDS (such as Boros Garrison or Dimir Aqueduct)
are NOT allowed, as they produce mana colors that are not allowed.
FETCH LANDS (such as Polluted Delta) are allowed, as long as you
follow the guidelines set forth by fetching for the allowed card.
SNOW COVERED LANDS are also allowed.
