(oops - I meant when checking the hallway - it was clear, so the ball and the hallway matched visually...)

"Well guys - let's see if we can take care of business... Let's head out..."

(I'll take a middle position when going through hallways, and be thinking about the hallway ahead, what's behind doors, and around corners as we mvoe through the palace... I'll have a pouch ready to place the ball into so I can join battle if needed...)

Just to be clear, anything that you're trying to think of that you're not sure, the ball is less clear. I.E. If you don't know anything about what you're trying to think of, the ball will be cloudy, like anything behind an unknown door. For stuff that you can see like the hallway ahead, the ball is only going to show what you're thinking of, like... exactly what you can see of the hallway ahead. If you can't see it, it's not going to show.

To recap where you are, the room has an archway leading to the east, or you can exit and continue down the unknown hallway to the east or backtrack to the west.

And I guess the gold is staying in the hole...

Bertrem goes to retrieve the gold and distribute it fairly among the party.

OK, so I'll think about the room where we met the mage... :)

Haven't we seen a picture of the throne room? If so, I'll try to look into it as well... I realize it works best for places we've been... Also, I will think of the inn where we were staying in town... First the common room, then our rooms...

Just to test it's (and my own) power...

Wow, not to bad a haul there....

**Bertrem automatically takes out 10% to donate to the church, and puts it in a seperate place.**

Patrick: You see the mage's room pretty much as you left it - and it's empty. Same deal with the inn's common room and private rooms.

You haven't seen a picture of the throne room though.

(I'll do my best with the ball, and see if it can forecast anything...)

"Let's see what's beyond this archway..."

(begins thinking of the area beyond the archway...)

As you haven't seen the area beyond the archway, you're not exactly sure what you should be visualizing. Thus, the ball clears to show only the 10' or so of the area right to the east of the archway, what you guys can currently see just looking through it from where you are right now (in the NW corner of the room).

Which is just the floor.

Let's continue on - when we take our next turn rest, we can use the ball to check things out behind us...

If someone else wants to carry my share of gold, that'd be great... I can't carry the extra weight... and have nowhere to store it... I say we divy up our spoils later... but I would definately like the crystal ball...

Bertrem offers to carry BB's share, and keeps it seperate from his own and the church's.

"I guess checking behind us is the best way to use it for now..."

(continues to use the ball...)

"we might be making some sort of arrangement as to who would get this ball once this is all over..."

(no problem in making an arrangement..)

Currently, "behind you" is the rest of the current room, so all you see are traces of oil, a charred body, and thrown about chairs...

(I say we continue down the hall - ready for battle, and I'll periodically check the ball for the halls we pass, and have been through before...)

"C'mon guys - we should be better off now..."

Okay, so you exit the room and continue east for 50'. You come to a door in the north wall. The passage continues east for 10' and then ends.

Standard listening and trap checks indicate nothing at the door.

(Enter the room cautiously...)

"Well - what's behind door number two?.."

This room is like a mirror image of the other room, dimension-wise. Through the archway to the west you see the other room. On a stand in the southeast corner sits a cask, which has been tapped with a spout. A cabinet next to the cask holds dozens of glasses. There's also a half-dozen wooden chairs about.
