"Well, the throne room is in the southeast part of the castle, so you should find the Princess there."

"I would think your first priority would be making sure the princess was safe... you have already spent all this time researching to break the glow, and it wouldn't hurt to take a break to check on the princess for the few moments it would take..."

"That's fairly amusing, some iterant 'adventurer' telling me what my priorities should be. Listen elf, after you've grown some beard on your chin, perhaps maybe you can tell me what my priorities should be.

Well, that made my decision for me, I'll go back to my studies and do important things, like trying to get rid of the red glow, and you can do the trivial task of informing the Princess of the current situation. If you think you can handle it, of course...".

"And what shall we do if we don't find the princess?... Come back to reach you so you can then go look and see for yourself?... Sounds like a lot of time wasted if you ask me...

You tell us it is in the SE part of the castle... can you then draw us a quick map so we can get there as fast as possible and not waste much time looking in many other rooms along the way?"

"If you can't find the Princess, hopefully you can make the call of whether she's actually in trouble and to look for her or if she just doesn't happen to be there at that particular time. I don't think you need me to babysit you through that...

I don't need to draw you a map - the way is easy. Just go out the east doors, follow the corridor south all the way, it'll turn east and it'll be the first double doors to the north."

(* And once again our "Friendly" Elf is making friends... :D *)

Let's rest up for a bit, then head on...

well... we do have better directions now... :p

"So if we don't find her, you don't want to know about it, or even have an interest in trying to help us find her?..."

(I personally think resting shows delay on our part - but will do as the group decids...)

"Aye I'll sit a spell an wonder if'n it was such a good idea t' let the mage go after all, seein as how he's not gonna help us anyhow..."

*I personally think were gonna be walking into a HUGE fight scene if/when we actually find the princess, so resting up a bit before blundering in seems like a prudent idea...;)*

** Resting is actually integral to the adventure... you're supposed to rest 1 turn out of every 6 (or 10 minutes out of an hour). So this is as good as place as any

"If you actually find her in trouble that doesn't warrant immediate attention, you can come get me. But just 'not finding her' where I thought she might be isn't reason enough; she's not a statue! I don't know her schedule...."

With that, he leaves back to the south.

You guys rest a turn and are ready to head onwards.

(* that was exactly what I meant by rest - the 1 per 6 turns thing... *)

He said we should go to the Southeast.

(* No one made any comments w/ respect to the girl (Duchess)... I think we either need to release her to the mage, equip her w/ a bow if she's willing to help us, or something... but I don't think we should continue to be distracted keeping an eye on her - especially if we get into combat... *)

(* I believe the general consensus is to leave Duchess w/ the Mage, and for us to proceed in a SE location as much as we can - given that we don't have a map, just a direction for the throne room. *)

Role Call - Who's for the above plan?

Aye, says I.

You guys head back to the room where you found the mage in the first place to leave Duchess, but he's not there.

"Going to research... sure.... maybe we should check the room that had all the jars and components he might find useful.... But I knew he was too eager to get away from us... especially after the statue looked just like him..."
