This question is mainly directed towards Ed. Is it possible that the boards can be edited so that any member may lock threads, but only threads that they have started? Just curiosity.
Slightly good idea to begin with, but using "games" is a slightly bad justification to do it with, since only a handful of members actually do them, AND it's only started recently despite games going on for at least half a year.
