I am a big fan of both Palladia-Mors and Omniscience.

Does Vaevictis get around hexproof, shroud, and indestructible? Yikes.

I have taken to only building decks that get around those elements. It is interesting how creature defenses have evolved and thereby forced the evolution of non-creature answers.

In the case of Vaevictus though, the ability targets the permanent, therefore hexproof and shroud remain effective.

It does say "choose target permanent." So I'd think it doesn't get around hexproof and shroud.

Ah. I mistakenly read it as "that player chooses a permanent he or she controls". Don't skim through card text!
