Rupert grabbed the glove and examined it. It seemed to be made of silk, and embroidered in red on the palm was a strange symbol of a circle within a circle within a triangle. Although the other items on the table served obvious purposes, and even though Rupert had no clue if the glove was usefull without a mate, he picked it. Afterall, why take a sword of sharpness or anti-elemental shield when you can have half of a perhaps useless affactation?

Rupert turned to the magistrates and smiled, holding aloft his gift.

The four old men eyed each other, looking confused.

"Very well." said Murdock. "If that is what you wish, it is yours."

The magistrates turned and walked back across the entrence hall and into the office. There they took thier high seats again. Rupert sat as well.

"Now." said Murdock. "Where will you begin your investigation?"

I say we hit up the mines...

Just cause you normally don't run into monsters or anything in a tavern...

hey don't knock the glove. its a conversation piece. the locals will be more interested in talking to the strange man in royal robes wearing a single glove, they might think he's insane...but oh well.

The mines, I wanna test out this new glove. If it doesn't do anything I wanna smack around some monsters with it, then poke them in the eye and run.

Why're we trying to run into monsters?
Because we need XP to advance to a higher level - to get more power - to beat more monsters - to get more XP - to get...

"Isn't that what you do in RPGs?...";) :p

This isn't a RPG.

You all should choose based on what you think would make for a more intersting story. I have nothing planed in advance. When I check the previous day's instalment in the morning, I have no idea where the story will go.

Also, I look at what, if anything, people have posted to get an idea of what the character should do.

For instance, if the option "Talk to the guy" gets the most votes, I'll be looking in the posts that the voters have made to see exactly how the character should talk to the guy, ie rude, friendly, et cetera.

This little shin dig goes how you all want it too.

hey for all we know the glove doubles as a whoopy cushion...

Beats the pants off me how the darned thing will help anyone, let alone us.

So, lets take on the door to door salesman bit. at least we can pawn off this ridiculous glove.

we'll have to make the funnies around here then.

2nd worst come on:

Rupert talks to the barmaid
"hey baby, you wanna see my new glove?"

or

Rupert stares down the threatening patron
"Ok, now the glove comes off."

Well.
A - The Mines/ which ones, the silver ones aren't suppost to be being worked anymore so no,the iron if you want the people who are angry to know we're here to snoop around no kinda like hitting a bees nest.

B - The Provential Hall/ much like kicking a sleeping orger,if we haven't pissed these guys off this probally would ensure it.Besides we don't know for sure where these guys sit on this matter, it seems strange they wouldn't have heard anything. It also seems strange to me they would go to the inn for a drink when they have much finer food and drink right here so no.

C - The local taverns/ A strong maybe but as we increase our chance to hear something usfull we also increase our chance to catch a dose of poison or dagger in the back if these people are really unhappy with the king.Remember we are running around in robes of the royal court.

D - The small farmsteads out east./ Well this is my fav.More likely these people keep to thier own even if they know about local politics. It also helps them for the silver mines to be open to sell food to the workers, or to the taverns to prepare meals to the workers.Keeping the silver going brings in buyers to town as well,so encouraging traffic so they can sell foodstuffs ,and grains to make ale is money in thier pockets.

E - Go door to door in town./Well there has to be an option for us to have our butts tarred and feathered and this is it.

You have chosen C - go to the town's taverns.

Are there really only 6 people reading this? How sad.

But you posted it after I'd left the CPA for the day, and I only just now read your post. Maybe we should try to time it out so we have a 24 hour window to vote in, so as to not miss out on any potential votes...:D
