Your curiosity has gotten the better of you, and you begin to search the room.

After a few minutes, you squat down by the rear wall to examine a crack that seems to hold promise.

Suddenly, you feel a hard blow to the back of your head and the trickle of blood down your neck. You swoon, and as you turn, your field of vision going black, you see several green-skinned, impish creatures that have snuck into the room...

...with a horrid headache you wake in a cold, damp and tiny room. As the blur in your eyes clears, you see that you are in some kind of jail cell. The room is about 6 feet by 6 feet. There is a single door with a small barred window, and a pile of filthy straw on the floor. The air is foul and stale.

Outside the door, you hear strange, raspy voices talking in a launguage you do not understand. There seems to be three. Looking out of your jail-cell window, you see your captors standing in a darkened hallway. They are some kind of goblin, and each has pointed ears, yellow eyes and is only about 2 1/2 feet tall. You do not see any others...

Choose Your Path...

A Try to talk with them
B Cast a spell that will let you understand thier language
C Cast a spell that will unlock the cell door
D Search your jail cell
E Lie down a bit on the filthy straw and have a nap
F Sit in a puddle of your own urine and sob, begging for release from this terrible place.

B.

Never know what kind of information (or goblin gossip! "did you hear about the atrocities Slogg inflicted on Buggus? All i can say is, now Buggus walks funny! Har har har!) you might hear. You can always search the place when there's no one around.

B. It's best to find out all you can, and there's no sense rushing into things. And don't try to communicate with them; you don't want them to be thinking about you, you want them to think that nobody's listening so they'll let something slip. And, as MrX said, you can always look around when there's nobody else around.
