The great god Apollo spoke to you in a wonderous vission and told you what to do. Moving quickly so as not to upset a deity, you run down each hall about 50 feet and then return to the central chamber, finally taking up a hiding place up the stairs of the eastern passage. There you wait, your heart pounding in anticipation of the inevitable battle.

Rastus scuries up the steps to you. "A well concieved notion you had here. If I did no know better, I'd say you had divine inspiration. And now for my part..."

Moving fast, the rat climbs up your shirt and presses it's paws against your fore head. He murmers and few strange words, and then you feel an odd tingle inside your mind.

"Did it work?" asks Rastus, and it takes you a few moments to realize that he spoke to through some kind of telepethy!

"Good. Now here is what I will do. I will climb atop the sarcopogus. As the goblins enter, I will comunicate thier actions to you. They should ignore a simple rat such as myself."

Rastus gigles to himself out loud as he hurridly makes his way down the steps and out of site. In the mean while, you remain safely hidden in shadow...

The time passes more slowly then you feel it should, each minute ticking away in what seems an hour.

At last, you get the mental communication from Rastus you've been waiting for.

"They come now. It is the same group that was outside the cells, and they have brought with them 2 large war hounds...they are gathered together, looking around and whispering to each other...now they split up...each is taking a seperate passage...the leader is taking both hounds with him into the north hall...one goblin is coming up the stairs now!"

At that momment you here the goblin's foot steps upon the stairs. They grow louder as he advances cautiously. He pauses...then starts to run towards you! It seems he has gotten close enough to mark your scent.

You can just pick up his own foul stench when you leap up from your crouch and cast a chrm spell! The goblin frezes inplace, teeters and bit, then falls face first at your feet!

"Since I hear no screeming, I must assume that you yet live?" asks Rastus.

"Unplesent as it may be, I think you should dispatch the brute before your spell wares off." the rat continues.

Knowing what you must do, you reach down and snap the goblin's neck.

"Well done." says Rastus, coming up the stairs. "But now what?"

Choose Your Path...

B Drag the body upstairs and find a different hidding place.
C Leave the body and go on a goblin hunt!
D Make a wild dash through the south hall and past the cells...
E Notice that you enjoy snapping necks, and practice on the rat.

Man, beats me. I think we should hide the body at least, but heck if I know where. SO I chose the sarcophagus.

The placement of the body matters not if the goblins are all dead. I say go Gobo huntin! Takin out the others before the leader prefered.

Yeah, but can you guarantee that you can kill all of the goblins before they start nosing around and happen on a body?

Goblin hunt!

Take the leader out next. Get the dogs away from him using Rastus' scampering prey animal skillz and zap the buggre.

Rastus' Rats. Sounds like a Heavy-Metal band...;)

Actually, I choose with Spidey. It does seem like a prudent idea to hide the body, especially since we weren't given another option on setting more ambushes up...:(

I want to hide the body. I don't think we are powerful enough to kill all the Goblins by ourself

The voting is very close, so I'm going to leave this open for a bit longer. I'll update this afternoon or tomorrow morning.

Vote with your aliases if ya wanna...

WHY THERE IS NO OPTION FOR MOR AMBUSHES...

With the first one, you knew that the goblins were coming and what direction they were coming from. You have now lost track of them and have no idea what's down the seperate hall ways.

By the by...who would be interested in me compiling these seperate parts and truning them into an actual story when it's fianaly over with? Would anyone read it? I guess there's nothing stopping me from just doing it and posting it, so why am I asking? Have you ever been in a Turkish prison, Bobby?

You could say we tried to hide it in the sarcophagus but something prevented us from doing so, so we had to go to a different place...

Or the other way, tried to hide it somewhere else but something happened, so we ended up hiding it in the sarcophagus.

It's your story. Pull rank and just make an executive decision :)

Geez, I thought I'd be breaking a tie, and now I've tied it all up with 4 different choices. The smart move, of course, would be to head for that spot of light we saw while the gobbos are all wandering around and try to escape from this joint. But that wouldn't be too interesting, now would it? So I suggested going on a gobbo hunt. We've got 'em split up right now, and we could probably come up behind each one and knock 'em off without too much trouble. I like MrXarvox's idea for taking out the leader; I haven't seen a dog yet that could resist a little furry animal, and I'm sure goblins couldn't trade one better than that. So have Rastus run around, draw the dogs away, and zap the leader. We know the hallways are safe, since the goblins know their caves and they were willing to go down there.

Oh, and thank you for the "divine inspiration" comments.:)
