What I meant was, that you can spite the Hammer in response to the Fork. That would mean that you counter the Hammer, and then the Fork's target would be gone.
He would have Forbid it anyway so it doesn't really matter..

Yes, that would have been the best play. As it didn't make any difference (I knew I had the forbid), I didn't question it or tell spidey to change targets.

Ah, I thought if the Fork was already on the stack, it already copied the Hammer spell so it didn't matter if I Spited one or the other.
