Maybe an Isochron scepter?

Have you tried running ankh of mishra? With 4 lotus petals there is a decent chance of one first turn.

it might not be AS effective but it sure is fun smacking them with a 12 point lightning bolt or a 16 point fireblast, or controlling their critters while whiltering their health at the same time.
the pyrostatic pillar is fun because the damage will bother you, but it will keep them at bay, because most likely you are dealing more damage.

I have a pure burn deck. Im not sure why you have creatures in your deck. Any spell over 2 casting cost will probably and should probably not be cast. With burn you cant go the distance. you gotta just toast them fast. Cant slow roast to perfection. Doesnt work that way.

Try this

4x Lightning bolts
4x Chain Lightning
4x Scent of cinders (i know this is a sorcery but well worth doing 6 or 7 damage on turn 2 for one card)
4x fireblasts
4x Sonic seizures
4x Sonic Burst
4x fiery temper
4x incenerate
4x thunderbolts

Those are your core spells. you can play with kindles, shocks, seal of fires, and what not. I have a fork and 2 fireblasts to clear the board with. kindle kinda sux cuz your trying to kill some one by turn five and you have to pay 2 mana just to cast it for 2 lousy points of damage...its not good enough.

What happens if you have Fling but no Ball Lightning. Dead card. I would suggest Blood Lust if you are going to run Fling, though. If you have more creatures then Fling and Blood Lust are both good.

fists of the anvil... - it doesn't have the toughness application... still works the same...

But bloodlust, it, and it gets swordsed...

attack, swords, then fling... even more useful...

Just as the ball is dead without the 3 mana...

everything is dead without the proper resources...;)
