By 'enemy colours' I think he means a deck using two opposing colours, making it unable to use Kicker, multicoloured cards etc...

And yes, blue weenies aren't *generally* that great, but there are *enough* good ones at the moment to mount a surprisingly fast offense.

And if you want blue tricks, your best bets are the free counterspells and Wash Out.
Along with a full set of Shocks and/or Seal of Fire, and/or Rhystic Lightning, and/or Ghitu Fire, and/or Urza's Rage, you have the capacity to seriously disrupt the Fires deck, exploiting its one serious weakness, the mana-creatures.
