The drakes have to come into play from your hand to put an enchantment on themselves. Altar of Drake at last years Euro Champs was a deck like this, hence the errata. Same with Peregrine Drake (and the ilk), and Karmic Guide, but not Avalanche Riders, Boneshredder (and his buddies) or Yavimaya Granger. Some effects were ruled too powerful (Recuring Nightmare/Corpse Dance + Great Whale/Peregrine Drake; Altar+2 Karmic Guides), as they led to infinte combos. Sorry.

How about Alter of Dementia/Reigns of Power/Ensnaring Bridge? Steal their creatures, sack their creatures, make them mill their library, and the bridge keeps them from attacking.:)

You need to extend your combo if you want to keep the deck working. False Demise can be placed back onto a Drake after it comes into play from your hand. If the Drake dies, it comes back due to False Demise. Then, just BOUNCE the Drake back to your hand, or simply cast another Drake if you have one in hand. Since this is an Extended deck, you could use either Waterfront Bouncer, Erratic Portal or Equilibrium for the bounce. It'll still be a good combo, though more balanced.

Oh, and I do believe that Mana Leak is better than Arcane Denial. ;)

What you're trying to do is make a deck with a two card combo backed by a lot of counters and a few other utility things.

The best blue two card combo is Illusions of Grandeur + Donate. It's been proven that this is best paired with Necropotence, but since they tried to kill that, you can try another Type I approach.

The way your deck is built, however, it's almost like you can just use some other cards to take control and use the "one card combo" for blue, Morphling. Once you successfully play it, it's very hard to remove and has the same effect as a two card combo.

In any case, I'd agree with Purple Jester. Arcane Denial is normally very good in a combo deck because you get a 2 mana counterspell that costs only one colored mana, and the side effect comes too late to benefit the opponent.

In this case, however, the combo is not executed all in one turn, so you should worry about that very nasty side effect.

Okay, now that we've (Thankfully) eliminated the suggestion of playing trix, we can concentrate on INTERESTING combos....

Right, I see the combo you're going for. Before Zadok jumps in with his all-green altar deck (sig deck: Greater Good), we can look at your manuever. I think that, for your purpose, the best colors are, alas, blue-black. Twilight's call, living death, victimize, and unearth are all good, and shoulod not be ignored. Let me try:

4 Sapphire charms (4 card decking?)
4 Cloud of faeires
4 Peregrine drake
4 Great whale
4 Devouring stroussus
4 Altar of dementia
4 v. tutor (R. tutor, and D. reseach work)
3 Twilight's call (LAST DITCH ONLY! REMEMBER, IT BRINGS HIS STUFF BACK TOO! USE ONLY WHEN YOU WILL WIN THIS TURN!)
4 False demise
Add counterspells and land to taste.

On the other hand.....
I'd much rather suicide. Look at this:
4 Altar of dementia
4 Avatar of Woe
4 Twilight's call
4 V. tutor
4 Devouring stroussus
4 Millstone
4 Grindstone
4 Defensive grid
4 Great whale
4 Palinchron

Okay, you play the alter, hold the clal in your hand, and deck yourself. When your total power in your graveyard= his deck size, you call and win. Defensive grid is anti-counterspell.
