I have been watching the new Turn Around video by my band of life, Enigma. While it has many abstract images and sureallistic lack of concept coherence, it features some interesting images which may comment upon a certain concept; keep in mind that the video was shot during July: the United States flag, a skyscraper, an airforce plane and some peals. Then some muslim ladies dancing and staring at the sky, some kind of warfare, and a globe object that glows hot, then explodes...

I'm sorry, but being a very experienced Enigma-atic, and knowning that the mastermind behind Enigma is actually German, I find it bizzare. A bizzare coincidence, actually; especially when no other Enigma video resembles any certain culture or countries...except for Turn Around, that is.

The images played actually strike the part of the brain where the 9-11 tragedy has been stored. It automatically plays back the incident in your head, as you listen to Turn Around. It's freaky...

You can watch the video on the net, without downloading at http://www.enigmalyrics.com.ar/. You probably wont see it very well if you have a slow connection or whatever.

One more thing, turn up the volume, you may just like this Turn Around song...it's a dream come true, so come on, "turn around and I will show you something"...

It's probably coincidence... the hip hop band The Coup had their cover art for their album redone before it was released because it initially depicted the WTC exploding and they had it done back in May/June.

Is the song called Turn Around?

I wasn't able to get into that site, but the title of the song has been used before. It's a Devo tune, as well as a Nirvana cover of it exists...

It's without a doubt significant. the last lyric is "take a look at the world... It's pretty scary."

Orgg, Enigma has never copied anyone, and Cretu, the mastermind, is really creative and has proved it during the last decade and even now. Enigma is mostly about music, and symbolism, rather than lyrics. It expresses so much using so little...

Goku, Enigma is still alive, and will be alive for years to come. You probably know them from "Sadeness," but they've got a lot of other hits by now, few that come to mind: Gravity of Love, T.N.T for the Brain, The Roundabout, Eyes of Truth, Age of Lonliness, Return to Innocence, Beyond the Invisible (their ultimate video is here), The Child in Us...and more...try them.

*There's a discussion going on at the moment regarding the meaning of "LSD" in this song. The album in which Turn Around comes in is called "Love, Sensuality, Devotion" (LSD), but if you hear the song itself, it kinda remind you of LSD, the drug...so there's a little worrying goin' on by the Enigma fans.

But the lyrics to "Turn Around" start with "Turn around and I will show you something." The part before that is from "The Voice of Enigma" from the album MCMXC aD..

The version you have must be a remix.

I fell in love with Enigma back in the early 90's when I first heard "Mea Culpa" and "Sadeness." I haven't listened to them in years...but I want to thank you DÛke for reminding me of why I enjoyed their music so much.

Aside to Orgg...I'm astonished you didn't mention They Might Be Giants' "Turn Around." Infidel.

I also noticed that the beginning to those posted lyrics was "the voice of Enigma".

I'm sort of glad that they're still around. I've heard their first CD, and own it, and I've heard their second one, but I've never heard their third one, "Le Roi est Mort", I think it's called. I didn't really like the second album. Is the third one better?

Oh yes... on a related thing... has Delerium done anything good since "Karma"?

Goku, yes, Enigma 3 is considered the best Enigma album. There's even Enigma 4 entitled "The Screen Behind the Mirror," which is down right fantastic. Enigma 3 is the best because it's very, very spiritual. From the opening track until the end, it grabs your soul and never lets go. If you want to get a taste of it, download T.N.T for the Brain, The Child in Us, Morphing Thru Time, The Roundabout, or my all time favorite song, Beyond the Invisible. All those are in Enigma 3, and all of them are big hits. Enigma 4 has the universally-popular Gravity of Love, and Push the Limits. Also hits like Modern Crusaders and Silence Must Be Heard. Enigma 2, like you said, wasn't that great.

After Karama, Delerium released Poem, which breaks away completely from the Delerium world and into...actual songs and vocals, but you know what? Music has never sounded the same ever since I got Poem. It takes a bit getting used to, but then it becomes one album that you can't get enough of, with almost every track being a big hit. Terra Firma, the first track in Poem, is amazing - it was also used in Tomb Raider's soundtrack. Also, Delerium's original team are working on a brand new album to be released mid-2002...Enigma and Delerium fans alike are excited about that fact.

Chaos Turtle, get Enigma 3, "Le Roi Est More, Vive Le Roi," and listen to it from beginning to end when you're all alone. Try to figure out some of the "enigmas" in it, and enjoy the music and its flooding spirit. After that, thank me. Again.

Orgg, if you like Pink Floyd (sp?) style of making his albums like "books" and "unfolding chapters," than you really should get yourself into Enigma. Seriously man.
