Old News.

The scams usually come from magiconlinesurvey(1,2,3,4,etc)@hotmail.com.

Someone has been using icupid to mailbomb the guy, so I hear... :D

THE FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT RULE TO REMEMBER IS THAT REPRESENTATIVES OF WIZARDS OF THE COAST WILL NEVER REQUEST YOUR MTGO PASSWORD UNDER ANY CIRCUMSANCES!
I love this quote, it's on every website I have been to and every game I have ever seen... It doesn't take too much to figure out that if the staff wants your username and password, they just look it up and don't even have to ask you about anything because in the terms of service they usually include a nice section saying they can commandeer or even ban you with the slightest of reasons.

But people who fall for those scams are about as bad as the idiots who believe everything that is in their Yahoo "Bulk Mail" box. "Oh no, the Yahoo administrators have blocked my account and I have to follow this link and the attachment program to get it back! OH NO!" *computer crashes* "WHY YAHOO?!"

Morons...

Well, Bennie felt it was important to mention or emphasize now so I'm just passing it on.

Not everyone is as computer-literate or skeptical as they ought to be...

Well, a few people have brough suit against WotC(so I hear) this fifth or sixth round of phishings, and it's gotten a bit out of hand. Thus, the official warnings.

Nightstalkers: You offer that too? I can't believe it! I've been especially looking for that coverage! :D

orgg: Really? People have brought suit against WOTC? That's... amazing. I haven't heard of any suits against other companies who are victims of phishing attempts... although there probably are.

Can't really do much about the suits... I mean... they're wasting their money suing a company when they've got'cha by the bawls with a contract you agreed to when starting an MTGO account. They're not responsible for your online merchandise and it's just plain imbecillic to think that someone would sue them after agreeing to that contract.

It's just like those fat people who tried suing Mickey D's for being fat.

They might be hoping for a settlement out of court or get lucky and win like the person who won for suing McD's that his/her coffee was too hot.
