This guy certainly earned HIS paycheck this weekend. I didn't play him but on Sunday (Flight 3) I was playing B/W Control I had to use two removals in the same turn just to get rid of him !
*Sniff* Naa not Legions. Torment maybe, with a disproportionate chaff to diamond ratio (wormfang ) but certainly no Legions....Legions *shudder* uugghh..
This set is nothing like Legions. If anything, it seems to smell more strongly of Planeshift to me, with a lot of flavorful cards that get overlooked at first...then, down the road, people start to pick up the gems and use them.
There is a lot of awesome stuff in this set. Yeah, nothing psychotically overpowered like UUU, MDF...but hey, there's a lot of stuff you'll regret later if you don't pick it up easy now.
Istanbul, you're wrong man. Planeshift!? Pfft! Oh, wait...that did have a lot of solid stuff, as it turns out. Though I think the Ninja Factor (tm) will help this set overcome the initial hurdles of acceptance.
The holy trinity is God, Hulk Hogan, and the Ninja Factor (tm).
