That's just a killer! :D

I read the title, didn't get...right away. :D When I finished the article, the title was the funniest thing! :)

This is just plain funny. A must-read article...

As little as I knew about Rizzo, the way he declared the CPA as "crap" in just 2 days was pathetic...

Very well written article, with sarcasim just oooooooooozing from every sentence...just the way I like it...

Well, for the record, Rizzo apologised to the entire CPA.

It was in an E-mail reply to me, and if you want, I'll Cut-and-Paste the entire e-mail here.

Toby is being a smartRUFF, because his two rants against Rizzo and the great Wakefield fell through and got him flamed.

He's making a joke of it now..

I laughed, but he was making fun of me, and a lot of people like me.

I don't like being made fun of, but at least it wasn't malitious.

As far as I`m concerned Wachter said it exactly how it is. I never could stand reading a Wakefield or Rizzo POS article... but I felt so alone!

*jumps up*
I AM NOT ALONE!
*tears flow*
Hi, my name`s Dave, and I`m a Wake-hater!
*sobs cathartically*

Ferret put out the call for a new Wakefield or Rizzo, I hope fervently they dont find one, I`d much rather hear from the new Rob Hahn.

Best article ever? Card Advantage by Rob Hahn, in an early Duellist (I think #6). My edition of that article was virtually a mass of underlinings and margin notes, and it is basically 50% of everything you ever need to know about Magic strategy. The other 50% of magic strategy was covered by Beth Moursund when she reviewed the Senor Stompy deck.

I think they both had some good articles but also had their off-days.

Just curious, what do you think is the best Magic strategy article from a non-WOTC employee (when it was written)?

Jebus Schist, that is the funniest article I've read in years.

And, the ECW references is a huge plus.

Though I wouldn't put BethMo on the same level as Hahn, that would be sacrilege. :p

BethMo's articles were long lists of cards with no strategy whatsoever.

I have always enjoyed The Reverends writing style. His articles usually are more community oriented than strategy. I will have to look up Robert Hahns article when I get home. I don't remember it in particular but I read every article in the Duelist when it was active. I have to say I don't remember ever reading a Rizzo article so I can't comment on his style. I can't say that there is anyone who's articles I search for. I like Rakso's but they are usually devoted to control and I am not a control player. Please Rakso write up an article about your experiment with Reckless Sligh. I think that would be interesting.

I think Wachter's style has gotten slightly better from when it was on the Dojo a couple of years ago, but I could be mis-remembering...

I remember that article, I think, and while it didn't change my life or anything...( ) it did make me a Rob Hahn fan. I agree with rakso though - BethMo never really impressed me all that much...<shrugs>

Well, I liked BethMo's stuff, it was pretty much it back then (although Zak Dolan's stuff, about the first written by a non-WOTC employee, was pretty good).

It was mentioned in one of my more recent articles. It makes the deck more entertaining, but also more erratic, and only helps if it comes in an opening hand that sets up Charge.

Sligh creatures are pathetic in combat and against instant-speed removal, so Charge sucks against many non-control decks. Against "The Deck" specifically, unless it's set up very early, it becomes useless against COP: Red and Powder Keg.

Ruff? That's even worse than oink. At least oink looks funny in place of most cursewords. The starcity site was pretty funny, though.
