The Truth

The moon, in alabaster light
Shines down upon the icy night
A solemn witness, to look upon
What crime hath been comitted tonight

I see a single star, a hope
Shin down upon the hill, a slope

I see a shattered hope, a dream
The blood run unto the stream

I see the fallen dream, a cry
unto the shattered, darkened sky

And why is allthis here, i ask
I see laughter, a single mask

falls into the shades of black and grey

All of this soon fades away
Blurs into another day

When i shall see it once again
Departing to the haze, the rain

Things can never stay the same.
