Bad news...

My cat just died:(

my mom was by my cat. she was breathing heavy and pooping, the kind off thing when you do when the body shuts down. she cried so lowd and she hung on until after I called the emergency animal hospital an were half way there. I kept my hand on her chest, and she went silent. her heart was still beating for like 2 minutes, and then it beat 3 times slowly and quit. she died in my hands.

why...? i know it can't be answered but...it sucks.

One of our cats got sick over Christmas week and had high liver counts and was turning yellow from jaundice. We've been giving him medicine (which is hard 'cause the cat doesn't want to take it) and hoping it'll work out and he'll recover 'cause we already lost a cat to liver disease a couple of years ago.

Dude Matt i'm really sorry, My dog died a few years ago so i knoe how it feels, I hope you feel better soon, it takes awile

I've lost three cats in my lifetime...

1) Gravatational Insertion (fell from second story banister)
2) Poison (Got into some old rat poison we didn't even know about)
3) Rapid compression (Probably a lumber truck)

Sucks each time...especially since all three suffered. (#1 insisted on hobbling around despite the fracture until we took it in; #2 was sick for a few hours; #3 was hit at night, drug itslef half way down the drive back toward the house...a good 100 ft...poppers shotgunned that one...)

Thnx guys, simpathy feels good, I think my cat got into some kind of rat poison or slug bait even though we don't have any. she was kind of a rover, went all over the place.

when I was nine and after we had moved to the other side of the Puget Sound, during that summer, this pure black cat started coming around. My parents told me not to feed it and maybe it would go away. I starded feeding the cat and getting closer to it. It had short hair so i wasn't allergic to it. I loved it and finally like 2 years later my mom finally excepted the fact that the cat WAS infact sticking around, and then she was legally ours.

She's the only cat that only ever just belnged to ME. I mis her.

It was the first time I had cried in years, when she let out a louder noise i could just feel her pain. after the car ride i had the painful task of shutting her eyes.

I'm very close to my cat also, and I can't imagine how I will feel when he eventually passes away. Again, we found Pudd as a stray and made the mistake of giving him a little food. Once they're fed, they never leave. I've had my cat for nearly 8 years, and I hope to have many more years with him.

I'm deeply sorry :(

Sorry man, I know how it feels... My cat died a year and a half ago of feline leukemia... She was only 1 year old. That was one of the few times in my life when I cried, and I could count those times on the fingers of one hand.

That sucks... one year old and dying from FL... and that's when they're relatively small and playing around and stuff...

To every one I hope your cats are emortal because when they die, it's painful.

But if imortality is out of the question...i hope their death is quick or in their sleep, and that they do not suffer. It's even more painful to watch them suffer. it hurts more.
