Frankly, yes, A New Hope does generate a feeling of drama. Attack of the Clones is an awful title, and it will turn away people who were not fans as huge as we are.
Rando, I too can think of a large number of movies that were truly bad (MST3K started showing me truly bad movies years ago, and that was an excellent selection as it stands. However, Episode I, as has been stated, is a kiddie movie. For me, an older than kiddie viewer, it was bad because of that. Okay, so not "Plan 9 from Outer Space" bad, but it was still awful compared to the original trilogy.
My only fleeting hope is that Lucas made this movie like the original trilogy, then used the name to drive off everyone who was not a true fan of the series. Of course, that is a really fleeting thought indeed. When the actors are insulting and laughing the name of the movie, (Ewan McGregor) you know something's wrong.
