I really like the combination of Mycosynth Golem + composite golem + rush of knowledge:

With Mycosynth Golem in play the composite golems will probably cost zero, sacrifice it to pay for rush of knowledge and draw 11 cards Then dump all your creatures end hopefully repeat....

Maybe that is something your friend could try when he wants to play a different version of the deck.
