Seattle's great as long as you don't mind constant drizzle from November-May. And I'm on the computer all winter anyway, so it doesn't bother me! :D

Hmmm...In Florida we get rain at least once a day starting in May and ending in December. Unfortunately, we also get 80-90 degree weather and 90-100% humidity to go w/ it. I love the rain. I could handle Seattle's weather...

...something else I love about Seattle: Coffee! Lots and lots of coffee! Just the perfect thing to keep you going!

I think the Florida weather is ridiculous, having visited at least once a year during that time for the past 9 or so years for at least a week. It's very depressing when you want to go to the pool or beach or waterpark and it rains in the middle of it :)

I hear Seattle isn't too bad; there was a comparison done earlier in May when Maryland was getting rain about 2/3 of the month and apparently Seattle is actually either average or below, despite people's conceptions. It might have been rainfall accumulations though, if Gerode says it drizzles a lot.

>> Magic R&D is looking for an intern

The pro qualification needed on this really scares me. Why don't they hunt down a fun casual player for once? Randy is fat enough to count as a whole team of pros!

>> Views on Counterspell leaving

Great they're doing this. Since the beginning of the game, people have denounced the logic of UU being able to counter any spell in the game. A more fair solution would be something along the lines of Power Sink or Spell Blast, and the Power Sink thing they seem to be headed towards, which is cool.

>> Magic Online 2.0 to be out July 28th

Yay. I can't wait to see what improvements they have in store. However, I hate having to lose my beloved Braids avatar AND my backup tiger one, too.

Yep. There are quite a few free avatars. A huge menu. With the update, they will reduce it to 5 avatars only, so that "the special collectors ones will MEAN something..."

What the hell that means, I dunno, except that it means their loyal customers are getting shafted on a fun aspect of the game.

That defeats the purpose of an avatar except for people who spend way too much time at their computers.
It's sort of like Diablo II.
Not good.

Now that you put it that way...things will certainly look a lot like D2, with everyone all cookie-cutter looking. Of course, the brats with too much time will have the "upgraded" avatars to look different.

Yet another marketing ploy to get people to play in their "earn the avatar" events.
