Tried to log a new account yesterday and actually got the WOTC page that said they're "temporarily out of new accounts" instead of the page that says "temporarily down". So close!

BTW I played in a big sealed tourney at saturday (100+ ppl) and came into the top8 (mvp Aboshan, the broken ;) ;) ), along with Randy Buehler :D.
I lost the crucial game in the top 8 though, drawing 1 creature in more than half of your deck just sucks, although at least I managed to survive that long (yes, I had drafted the more removal than creatures deck ;) )

I haven't tried it yet but drafting appears to be MTGonline strong point. sounds like fun. but don't have the time for it right now.

Accounts are up!

For those who already registered, to you have to give any billing information? The site seems to want it, but I don't have a credit card and I wouldn't give it to them if I did...

Edit: Whoa, the website just completely changed in the past 5 minutes! I'm signed up as Gerode!

Wanna know what sucks?
Here's what sucks.

They activated my account as Istanbul.
They screwed up my password.
They tried to fix it, and CAN'T.
They say to try again on Thursday or Friday with a new password they attempted to put in, and let them know if it doesn't work.

But the store is down.

Anybody have some stuff they can spare a newbie?

Istanbul, if you see me on line, contact me. I'm Engineered. I have lots of tournament entry tickets and lots of boosters. The only thing I'm not willing to share is 7th ed. I have had incredibly bad luck trying to open Birds of Paradise.

I "dashed" home after work to try to log on and my ISP server was down again! I don't know what's up with them (I ought to give them a call) as it's the second time this New Years that it's been down, but it's a pain! I bet all the current accounts are gone!

Arggg!

I got the Beta Disk!

I went to the 1.5 tourney today(won seven packs, sold 'em for $3 each, bought a stuffed Cthulu, which promptly ate an opt and Fanatical Devotion.), and as the "door prize" I got handed a copy of the Beta Test disk!

Now if I can just bargain for that 2Gig hard drive that a family member is thinking about getting rid of...

Any tips, ya'll?

Also, if a hard drive kept crashing for some unknown reason, and you delete everything from it's C:\ drive and make it a slave to a Windows 95 running system'd 1 Gig, any problems that might occur are...?

I've been playing for about a week now, or so.

I LOVE this game!

I can get a draft pretty much at any hour of the day or night, I've already got THREE Finkels and FOUR Call of the Herd, AND a Bird of Paradise! I'm considering making the ol' Finkula deck; one more Finkel and one more Meddling Mage, and I'm almost there!

A pickup game of Magic at any time. *sigh* It's a dream come true...

I have no idea to the answer to your question, theorgg. My experience is that the C drive is the default on your operating system. If you delete everything on it, you're not going to boot up unless you have a boot disk and are ready to reinstall Windows on that drive.

If you have something else as your default like the D drive, you might be okay...

Isty: Glad to have helped! ;) So people don't drop when they're losing or anything?

I finally got to log on and get an account but no time to actually play yet.... :(

Oh, people sometimes concede. Which is fine with me, gives me the time between then and the next round to go get something to eat or somesuch thing.

Though I don't know how long it's going to last, given that all beta accounts will be wiped out, and the prices are simply way too high for e-packs.

Well, having someone concede is definitely better than just dropping the connection, as commonly done in Apprentice (or so I hear).

How's the rules enforcement?
