Are you ready?

It's almost 5 in the morning (EDT) on August 2nd, 2003. I've gotten up at this hour so that I can see the first pre-season football game between the Tampa Bay - I'm sorry, WORLD CHAMPION Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New Jersey Jets. I've been waiting somewhat impatiently since the end of last year's Superbowl (the Pro Bowl doesn't count) to see some more football...

...which begs the eternal question to everyone else: "Are you ready for some football?"

...or, at least, don't suck this year.

P.S. Troy Aikman getting old was the worst mistake that the Cowboys could've made.

Actually, seeing Troy trying to do colour commentary is about as bad as watching him get sacked repeatedly durring his last couple seasons...

Hmmm...November 24, 2002 - Bucs 21, Packers 7... I think we can beat them quite well, thanks. Don't get me wrong: I like the Packers they're a good solid team w/ an incredibly nice guy for a quarterback. I wish them well - in their division. But, when it comes to them vs the Bucs I have to stick w/ the Bucs...

Oh yeah, am I ever ready. I thought about getting up at 5 to watch, but I had so much going on today that I couldn't do it when the alarm went off. I can't wait for real games...

Don't get me started on Tampa Bay. We'd have won the super bowl last year if it wasn't for them... We coulda beat the Raiders no sweat. Well, there's always this year.

Da Iggles all da way, yo!

(Philadelphia Eagles, that is.)

Coulda, woulda, shouda. Let's see: The Bucs were playing in Philadelphia (where the bucs have been losing a lot lately), in the cold (where until a few weeks prior the Bucs had NEVER won) and they had the pleasure of knocking the Bucs out of the playoffs there two years in a row. In all honesty, the Bucs had nothing to lose because everyone expected them to lose... that's why they won. Because they had nothing to fear.

Time for me to plug fantasy football once again. All of you that know so much about football can go to Yahoo and prove it. ;)

The league ID# is 201395 and the password is Apollo. Hope to see ya all there!

(This is in two different forums in hopes of getting more people to see it and join).

I more or less read about the games than watch it on TV since my wife hates it and I don't like THAT much to push for it, but it's my favorite team sport.

Don't really have a team to root for, although I guess it would be the Redskins if I had to pick one. Hopefully this year they'll get their act together.
