Wow, Spidey. That is, like...the WORST thing you can possibly do.

Do you know what the 'unsubscribe' links says?
It says 'You can no longer e-mail me. But this is proof that the e-mail address works, so please sell my name to several hundred other spam lists.'

Just delete. Or, better yet, block. Trust me.

Like I said, my spam usually comes from affiliated sites that I know and am registered with, and the unsubscribe button has been very good. With porn or spam that I don't know who it came from, I just delete. So it really depends on the source. Some sites are good about it, some not.

Been there...done that. Isty's right - all unsubscribing does for me is turn 10 spam emails a day into 20 within 2 weeks.

Sigh...:(

We must be on different pages or categorizing "spam" differently. All I can say is, unsubscribing has worked for me when I know the spam (or solicitations) have come from or been associated with known websites to me.

Nope. I'm still one of the half-dozen people in the country who does not use a credit card. So no selling for me.
