I had an interesting revelation the other day. I realized that now that there is an ability to clone people, there is no biological nessesity for men to exist. And with the human genome being rapidly deciphered, soon you'll be able to design your own baby (just like in that movie I can't remember the name of right now...)

Now in the past, even if we had the cloning technology, men might be usefull to have around becuase they'er all big and buff. But today, we have stun guns 'n hydrolics and all sorts of stuff, so strength means pretty much nothing these days.

But to add to the fact that men are useless, there's the fact that men do most of the harm in todays society. Last time I checked, 90% of all crimes are done by males or some such huge statistic. And from what the wardens said on the radio, women that do commit crimes useually learn their lesson in jail and never are heard from again. Of course this is not the case all of the time, it is mostly true.
And Gorge Bush is a guy, that tops it off.

So men are useless, and do more harm then good. What one thing in todays society can a man do that a woman can't do just as well, if not better? Just about the only thing I can think of is have sex.

So here's my solution, kill of 90% of the male human population. Then have the remaining 10% be sex slaves! I mean really, what flaw is there in that? The world becomes a more rational and civilized place, and men get to live in paradise untill their about 50 or so, at which time something happens which I haven't compleatly figured out yet.

Who agrees with me? Who doesn't? I haven't found anything wrong with this plan yet. Some guys might say they love to love, not lust. Well you know your mostly saying that to get a girlfriend. And with the next generation, if their raised to be love puppets then they'll stay that way.

This is a win-win scenario! It's perfect! And I would die to ensure it happen! The revolution is now!

For one thing, the movie is Gattaca, staring Uma Thurman, and that other guy.

You're idea is well, interesting. But what if a senior wants to have a baby or (no offense) a large obese woman. Or what if a desease causes all the men to go sterile (Would have to affect millions, but oh well...), *cough* interesting idea. But flaws it has.

There is certain "things" found in males that females lack...and vice versa.

...who would tell females how sexy they are? A computer?

...who would fulfill their sexual desires? A machine?

I'm pretty sure they want a real body to touch...a realy male...someone with real feelings...and a heart...someone to "play" with. Utopia can't exist without males or females. They're counter parts...made to fit each other perfectly.

In this issue, both males, and females would disagree. Males don't wanna vanish because they are the men, and females don't want their most important object of affection to vanish either.

Through out history, yes men have been the problem causers, but that also because men worked very hard at dominating over women and disallowing them things like free thought and will. I modern day, like today where women have much greater freedom then 100 years ago crimes are comitted equally by both, why do you think theres no more room in womens jails just like the rest of them, cause they're all full. The biggest difference is when a women commits a crime, they're smart enough not to get caught as much.

Want a utopia, get rid of humans and leave the world to the other plants and animals. Who knows, maybe in 10,000 years there could be humanoid cats walking and talking.

Okay, the main thing you've all pointed out so far women still want their own man. Hey, once the genome get's compleated they can create MINDLESS sexslaves. Not literally mindless, but to the point of being reduced to that of a dogs intellegence with "sit" and "stay" commands. As Ademis pointed out, the next generation would normally be born with half being male, but as I said we allready have the technology to clone. They could all give birth to clones of themselves.

Also, I think it's been proven somewhere that men are more violent then women. Mostly becuase of a little hormone/pharamone called testosterone. But you allready knew that, I'm just pointing it out.
And Ura pointed out that women are smart enough to not get cought. In my opinion, if you don't ever get cought it's dignafied as a living. But that's just my opinion...

To finish this post, I would like to point out this is mostly for humor, as it is almost feasable. And it, it would just require getting used to. But that's happened many times through out history, "true love" is not what it used to be. Through changing society and technology it has changed, but no once cares any more. As one day no one would care if this were to be followed through...

Well from my experiences, all the girls at my highschool seem to have a thing for going out with attractive jack asses...

I don't know, I fell in love once. But unlike most people, when I tried to recover from heart break I used it as an opportunity to break love down to it's key elements and be able to see it through logic. It succedded in relieving the pain at the very least. Of course now I just laugh at people who went through a break up... Feh, screw society. Forth with the sex slaves!

Of course, I'm horribly stupid, cowardly and naive concerning this topic, and I'd like to think I'm more so than the rest of you put together.

I would get more deeply involved in the issue if no one who I knew was here (due to some deadly serious (IMHO) repercussions to spilling my guts); all I will say for now is that this sex/revenge fantasy of Hawaiian mage's is only meaningful to anyone (including me, to be honest), whether funny, morbid, or too stupid for words, because you know you've spent nights wishing it were true for some stupid, carnal reason.

Oh, and Hawaiian mage: I tried logic, as I was once, long, long ago, in a predicament similar to yours, and I can honestly say it doesn't work without choosing to hate everything the other person stands for; in my case I can't do that. This is indeed an interesting thought... However, it's certainly not a utopia. True, men have been the great destroyer in history...but in the way, they are also the greatest creators. Throughout history, men have been the most prestigious inventors, cooks, mathematicians, scientists, etc.
Also, keep in mind that the creation of a human being is also partially due to men...
However, women seem to be more detailed, and that is their strength. But like DUke said, men and women must exist together in order to form a utopia...

Judging by your latest post, I would say you say this out of disgust of being romantically rejected... But you have not truly broken down "love". From a scientific view, love is simply sexual attraction...the desire to have sex and impregnate women. Under this definition, all animals fall in love, from the simplest sexually reproducing organisms...all the way to humans. But humanss also have sex for pleasure. This is where love and lust differ. Love is not just the desire for sex. It's an almost emotional bond. Modern society, however, has made that bond harder, and harder to maintain due to all it's customs, etc.

Point is, your idea simply wouldn't work...Of course, no one will be certain of this until something like this truly happens...

There are two types of love, lust and infatuation. You all know what lust is, and when your infatuated it's what's useually called "true love." From what I can tell, infatuation is a side effect from man's ability to create symbols. The symbol of what is combined as motherly love and the desire for lust. The desire to create life. Also, since we've all grown up under the influences of movies and such that depict true love, we've grown to accept it as reality. Perhaps man created love by accident and passed it on, but I can't prove that through reasoning.

Any way, I'll stop there and hopefully leave it there, unless you inquire upon it again. I doubt you would want me to convince you love is nothing more then an emotion like any other.
