All blue spell shapers. Looks fun, but is it worth a damn?

At first I toyed with the idea of splashing red to use Squee as the fuel for the spell-shapers, then I figured that with 4 Brainstorms and 4 Ansestral Knowlage I'd be fine.
The basic rundown is:
14 Creatures (18 if you count the conclaves)
12 Counters (20 if you count the Drakes and Stronhold guys)
6 Bouncers
8 card drawing

I've never played an all blue deck before. I always thought counters were a little boring to be honest. But hell, why not try a little of everything.

Also, please give advice on the sideboard.

Thanks in advance.

I would go more like this...

Red (9)
- 4 Squee
- 4 Kris Mage
- 1 latulla

Blue (20)
- 4 Waterfront Bouncers
- 3 Overtaker
- 2 Stronhold Biologist
- 2 Stronhold Machinist
- 1 alexi
- 4 Foil
- 4 counterspell

Artifacts (9)
- 3 Masticore
- 3 Fire diamond
- 3 Sky diamond

Land
- 2 Dust Bowl
- 6 Mountain
- 14 Island

I hope this helps!

If this is for 1 on 1 you should consider withdraw. it rocks. You can unsummon one of theirs and one of your own if you want, or when they are tapped out you can get two for one card.

I agree with you that withdraw is an awesome card bigblue. However, I think that waterfront boucner not only fits the theme better (spellshaper) but it also fits better in the deck (with the squee's)

Okay, since you're playing red/blue, I'd say siesmic mage. If it works, it's one of the best spellshapers. Also, trickster mage makes a really good defense. Better than kris mage.
