here is my five colour, mostly legions set sliver deck. I want to know good oldies to put in.

I know I would like to add in muscle slivers in place of the plated slivers, Horned slivers, heart slivers, and hopefully another magma sliver or two. I think magma sliver is the most powerful legions sliver, look at the math: you have 4 1/1 slivers and magma. you attack with magma. you tap the other four slivers for +5+0 each, dealing 23 damage in one go. with shifting or ward sliver, you can on the path to the dark side in no time at all :D . What are some good tempest slivers that I should know about? Also two rules questions: I have both shifting and hunter sliver in play, can I provoke one of the opponents creatures, or does the shifting sliver make it impossible? If one of my slivers has protection from white(via ward sliver) and I block a white creature, does the damage done by the white creature get prevented, or does it simply not do anything?

oversoul nailed it on the head. Since you got the quick sliver, you can get combat tricks by tossing in a sliver overlord. Sliverqueen is just cool.

I don't want chrystaline sliver because it prevents me from using magma sliver, crypt sliver and others like that. Muscle sliver I really want though.

well first off all your mana base isnt fast enough for a five color sliver deck. City of Brass is somthing u should look into as well as he various pain lands i four one use the CHK duals in my 3 color sliver deck.

Crystalline Sliver
Muscle Sliver
Winged Sliver

are the most impornt of the slivers followed closely by Talon Sliver. As far as other advice i can give your deck needs more focus, you wont draw the slivers you neeed when u need them.

It's quite possible to make a two, or three color sliver deck. Of course you don't get all the options of five colors, but what your trade in for options you make up for in consistency and speed.

Of all the colors, I personally think blue has the best in:

Shifting Sliver
Synapse Sliver
Winged Sliver

Mondo evasion and an amazing combat damage ability.

Green also has some fat and furious slivers in:

Muscle Sliver probably the best sliver period.
Brood Sliver

I've played magic for a long time and have never played a sliver deck...maye it's time.

Here's a quick efficient little beater of sliver deck I just built:

Slivers: 22
4 Synapse Sliver
4 Winged Sliver
4 Muscle Sliver
4 Shifting Sliver
4 Brood Sliver
2 Root Sliver


Spells: 16
4 Wild Growth
4 Rampant Growth
4 Kodama’s Might
4 Naturalize


Land: 22
10 Islands
12 Forest

It uses the dated Rampant Growth. As Sakura Tribe-Elders are just not right in a sliver deck :)

It also prevents your opponent from using Swords to Plowshares, Dark Banishing, Lightning Bolt, Seal of Fire, Spinning Darkness, Boomerang, Pacifism, Unsummon, etc. on your slivers.

I would never build a sliver deck with less than four Crystalline Slivers.

did you make any changes DoomB - is this still a five-color sliver deck, or maybe thinned to 3?...
