The November 2008 election was the last one in which Washington had polling locations, although I was already registered to receive absentee ballots anyway. I usually procrastinate, but this time I turned in my ballot about a week before the election.

We're all absentee ballots in Washington. I voted ages ago.

Resale value: Built from Scratch. Play: Either Built from Scratch or Forged in Stone depending on your style. Coolness: I think there's a case to be made for Guided by Nature, but I'll look into it more once I have the actual decks... Basically, Built from Scratch is the Mind Seize of this...

Untap, upkeep, draws, cycle Forgotten Cave...

Well, if someone else casts Kamahl's Summons, I'm even more dead than I am right now, so I guess I pick that.

Maybe images would be better for that. Or it could be some combination of things. Isolating personal favorites would probably be a good way to improve the set reviews. I'm still toying with how to make them have meaningful, comprehensive content without making them too long and repetitive. I'll...

Yep, same ones I've primarily seen on store shelves. Neither one is particularly bad, but they just aren't as impressive as the other three, for various reasons. The WUB one, though, is easily my favorite. You're thinking of the 2012 Commander's Arsenal product. That was the year after they...

Not sure what you mean. Griselbrand has been around for a few years and isn't really considered new anywhere except maybe here, because this site is populated exclusively by old fogies. In the last year or so (probably a bit more), Oath decks in Vintage moved away from other creatures and became...

Well, I'll put it this way... Casting a 7/7 flying lifelink creature with pay 7 life: draw 7 cards for only three mana is good enough to win tournaments. Are you surprised? :p

The cards that cause the problem were, in order, True-Name Nemesis, Toxic Deluge, and Baleful Strix. The first two of those were brand new cards. They weren't (and aren't) legal in most Constructed tournament formats, but Legacy and Vintage are now "Eternal" formats and are exceptions. Baleful...

People are already preordering all five decks even though they haven't really been revealed yet. I'm holding off. I think it's just that people are sore about last year, which was pretty understandable. We don't know which, if any of these decks will stupidly skyrocket in value, but some people...

In this deck, Sheoldred is probably only slightly better than Reya Dawnbringer most of the time (although depending on opponents, the difference could matter more). But the thing is that having two of those creatures is pretty valuable and can win games. I'd use more than two if I could. In...

Nope.

I refined the deck some more, cutting cards that seemed redundant or underwhelming for ones that I hope will be more promising. -1 Miren, the Moaning Well -1 Horizon Canopy -1 Mox Diamond -1 Angel of Despair -1 Bloodghast -1 Nether Shadow +1 Worm Harvest +1 Spore Frog +1 Carrion Feeder +1...

Block with Volcano Imp.

I didn't say no blocks. I said no responses. He said, "Awaiting responses." I figured that might be he'd have more before proceeding to the declare blockers step.

No responses.

Ha, I managed to send you a second article before the first one was published! It's almost like I'm ahead of schedule (only not really).

So, did this one get lost in the mail?

I managed to find enough time to finish my Khans of Tarkir review and I sent it to Spiderman this morning. I probably won't be around for the rest of this week, though.
