The coin flip alone makes the card a 50/50. If you had a card that said "You win the coin flip of your choice" that would be a good combo... :) So really, it's more of a backup card, not really something to build a deck around. I would go with your damage prevention theme and find other cards...

Are you kidding or being sarcastic? 'Cause there's no way Karplusan Giant is The Worst Rare Card Ever (or even The Worst Uncommon Card). Exactly why is he bad? And what decks have you put him in?

Almindhra: I understand what you're saying. Believe it or not, I don't like to say something if I don't know what I'm talking about. If I'm really curious though, I might ask questions to clear it up. But that's why I (usually) stay out of opinions about new cards and sets, for example. But...

Then it just may be my perception, then. But my point is the CPA is more than Magic now, which "justifies" why people still come here despite not playing Magic. And who know, maybe they'll get in it again... ;)

I barely play Magic now; haven't had a face-to-face duel in about 2 years and occasionaly play Griffy on Apprentice when our schedules match. I kinda miss it, but I have so many other things going on that it's not that big of a deal.
