I have a pretty narrow view of Type 1 since all I see are rakso's articles, but I don't think he's ever played Brainstorm in response to a Duress... if in fact a Duress was played on him in the first place. But it's a good play anyway.

Not really, I have some cards from it. I just didn't get boxes so I'm not sure of all the cards.

I finally did a search and I think it was Portent that I was thinking of, since you draw 3, but you don't put them on the bottom of the library. Next time rakso has a log, I'll keep an eye out :)

Well, yeah, there's Bear cards but I didn't think they could be made into a tribal deck.... unless you're talking about the Odyssey block cards like Bearscape or something, which I'm not too familiar with...

You talking about Birds, or Bird Soldiers? And goodness, who played Bears as a tribe? :eek:

She probably has a Necklace of Warding and Bracers of Protection.... plus the armor is Leather +5... :p

Like I said before, I don't think they said they were slowing down the game permanently. Only for a couple of blocks or so...

Brainstorm is an instant. But I think there's some blue sorcery that costs 1 that he uses... is there one that you can choose to put either in top of the library or bottom? Maybe it's that one...

Ooo, didn't see it's a sorcery. Well, it might still make an impact; rakso uses Brainstorm a lot as a first turn play in his logs, so who knows...

It probably will... it's basically a blue for drawing 2 cards in that environment.

I do remember an article in an early Duelist about a guy from Texas, maybe one of those areas, attempting to make the Pro Tour his "job" and living off the winnings... way back when the Tour was first starting...

Affinity Mechanic more discussed in this thread, but this just combos with the Artifact Lands alone at a disturbing rate... this could be one of the stronger Constructed cards, perhaps making it all the way to Type 1 as an alternative/additional card drawer to Ancestral Recall.

I think they did that a while back with Homelands; it was a different world that was blocked from Dominaria via a "shield"...

Beats me... is there a big Type 1 scene down there? rakso seems to play online alot along in person in his country, so I don't know if your area is just missing out or if it's just "local" to him. It does use a lot of the power cards though, so it's pretty expensive...
