Probably because currency is "backed" by the issuing country, whereas goods are just between the parties in question. But for purposes here, they're pretty much the same thing, unless train elaborates more.

Personally, it's still a bit high. But looking at rares in the overall market, it seems to be in line with the rest of "decent rares", which was what I was basing my opinion on (seeing how as "useless" rares go for $1-2).

Yeah, that part was unclear. The rest can probably go though - What the basic land types are and that it can be played more than once per turn.

If you mean your statement "price of victory", $4-5 is about average for a decent rare. $8 would be high, yes...

That might be because it's black-bordered... it might be cheaper from 4th or 5th ed., even though it's a rare in those (although I think U1 is considered rare for the Legends expansion).

That's really what I'm after too. If civil unions or some other structure came about that gave the same rights as marriage, I'd be fine with that. It's just that it appears that "marriage" is where it's being concentrated right now.
