I loved the Wing Commander games and had 1 & 2 with the expansion packs. Now my computer is too fast to play them and I can't slow it down even with mo'slo and can't turn off the cache. Another reason to get a 486 :) Ferret, I'll take WC II and IV if the offer is still open...

If you're playing in a casual circle, you probably should have a house rule to not play such creature hosers to make it more fun... What makes it bad is playing with Unlimited and before cards... besides, blue always has Counterspell from the other side of the table.

If someone could give me the decks in Apprentice/text format, I could try to play them against you... :)

I think it was actually taken out because blue was supposed to be the flying color. At least that was the thinking at the time. Beats me, but I agree... also add in Mirri's Guile or Abundance (still trying to get that to work) true, although really with Hurricane, the ground troops actually...

I think that if you liked to play in tourney's where broken cards matter, you liked the set (at first maybe) because Urza's Block was the first time you could build killer decks in a long time. Was your friend playing people who knew how to play the championship decks?

I started a D&D game using "old rules" since I didn't have a 3rd ed. DM's guide and it petered out after a while. And Icewind Dale/Baldur's Gate is pretty much turn-based as you can hit the spacebar at any point to give orders. I thought BG was a great addition after such a long RPG drought...
